George Stewart handled the purchase of our home in July 2021. He released the $8,000 hold back to the seller, without obtaining the consent of either myself or my husband (as stipulated in the contract) even though the seller had not completed the work specified in the contract. Although George Stewart is aware of the mistake he made, he is not prepared to pay us the $8,000 owing to us. Unfortunately, because of George's mistake, we have to shoulder the burden to paying for the remediation of the structural deficiencies ourselves.
