Worst lawyer I have ever had the experience of meeting!! Cost my dad's estate about forty five thousand dollars because he told me 6 weeks till probate! When 10 weeks went by and not a peep from him and I needed to get insurance on my father's home he wouldn't answer my calls or emails!!! He had all my stuff and I was begging and crying for him or someone to call me back!! Nothing !!!! Then 10 months later after hundreds of emails phone calls and texts he finally said he would call after I said I was contacting the law society he called an old house phone # instead of cell phone I had been constantly texting him with.He had an associate contact me to let me know that in all that time he had not even filed for probate 10 months of paying bills taxes loans insurance ate up the entire estate!!!finally his kind associate was able to get probate 6 weeks later. Easy to see why she left and struck out on her own rater then stay with this incompetent man!Magically he had my # for payment!

dozens of emails, phone calls go unanswered - he did up our wills and I will never use him again - finally reported him to the law society and he then returned my phone call

I don't understand these other comments. Gordon is thoughtful, caring, and thorough. He bent over backwards to help us prep our documents despite Covid concerns.

I can not say anything worthwhile about this lawyer, and I most certainly agree with the other two comments. It is abundantly clear he does not care about his clients. Interestingly enough, found court case that he was brought up to face the Law Society. I was not surprised that this occured, nor for the reasons as I have experienced them firsthand, but was completely disgusted with his responses to the Regulator, that is, when he DID choose to respond to them, if he responded at all. His excuses were INexcusable. RUN......FAST!!!!

It became quite clear that Mr. Vanderleek was working for himself first and his client, me, not really.

Found out after him losing my case that he had been suspended by the law society.
