Terrible lawyer , overcharged , didn’t have my best interests in place .. returned phone calls and emails months later .. go elsewhere and find some else than this lawyer .. fired her and moved on

I had a horrible experience with Nav. She was referred to me by a friend so I expected good things. Unfortunately that was not the case. She would take weeks sometimes to respond to an email. She increased her hourly rate 3 times within 3 months. She charges .2 for emails where others charge .1, A one sentence email cost you almost $100 bucks. She is a money grab. I do not recommend, shes a money grab and did absolutely nothing for me. Much better and cheaper lawyers out there.

Retained Nav for a complicated matter which could have easily become years worth of court. Nav was able to settle the entire thing. The agreement was drafted quickly and concisely. Would recommend her.

Nav is a terrible lawyer who puts her own motivations ahead of her clients. Her passion and enthusiasm with cases are self serving as she is more motivated with generating billable hours and advancing her own professional career. She gives a persona of brutal honesty but her purpose is typically to squeeze as much money out of her clients. Her advice is terrible and she is unable to resolve complex matters. In court she was scattered and disorganized, and brought up irrelevant details that the Justice admonished her for. I would not trust her with my critical family law matters and do not recommend her under any circumstances.

Nav is not only an exceptional legal processional, but she is a wonderful person, evidenced by her compassionate and empathetic treatment of her clients. She is intelligent, knowledgeable, straight forward and transparent. Nav skillfully guided me through the divorce process and at every step, I was confident she had my best interests at the forefront. While Nav's approach is reasonable, kind and understanding, she will not back down when protecting a client's interests. I will recommend her wherever possible in the future.

She was recommended to me by one of my friends that had used her while going through a divorce and I understand why. Nav was extremely compassionate and empathetic towards me during the whole divorce process. I was very satisfied with the end result and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a family lawyer, especially those with kids.

I know of two people who used Nav as a lawyer (both unrelated), and their complaints were identical. I did not use her at all but these two unrelated parties had extremely similar complaints.

I approached Nav after firing my previous lawyer and attempting to resolve my case independently. It's rare to find a lawyer who enjoys what they do, finding Nav, who genuinely cares about her clients and loves what she does was refreshing. Nav worked diligently to resolve my matters, while keeping me and my children’s best interest at the forefront. She is professional, articulate, friendly, kind, respectful, confident, compassionate, and AWAYS prepared. She gave me her full attention and made herself familiar with the smallest details regarding my case. Before I met Nav, I felt hopeless, I felt like I was in a situation that would never end. Nav took on the challenge head on and thanks to her, I feel a heavy weight has been lifted off my shoulders. After 5 long years I am finally divorced, and I now have sole custody of my children. During this process Nav had to communicate with my dad and myself regarding his divorce matters. When communicating with my dad, who is senior, she made it very easy for him to understand the divorce process.
Nav was very communicative during the entire process. Very knowledgeable with her responses regarding the other parties demand, on the ball. She was also very easy to speak to which I believe for a family lawyer is critical, because it made my dad and I feel very comfortable that he is is good hands, and his interests are being taken care of. I even sent an email to Nav regarding an email stating "Damn, you are great!" We would definitely recommend this firm!

Nav assisted me with a very high conflict divorce. My matter had been ongoing for years until I finally decided to change lawyers. Nav changed my life and changed the life of my children. Beware of this lawyer and move on to someone else. Nav Shokar has no compassion and may be unethical. Will be complaining about her to the Law Society. Do yourself a favor and find one of the better and intelligent minds out there to represent you.
