A lawyer who tells you to go work and keep paying him if you wonder about your case and question his efforts or lack of them. He thinks he owes you from the moment you signed the retainer and fetched the first funds. From that moment he owns your pocket. He also bumps up the hourly fees even without notifying you. Luckily some of those fees can be recovered thru Lawyer's Fees Assessment.

My wife hired James as her counsel.Fairly close to the day she met him, she accused me of trying to steal the cottage value from her by not putting that in her name. I told her that was not the truth and she was entitled to her fair share. When it came time to put it on the market, she had to sign the papers. She told me she didn't because it wasn't in her name. I told her she did and the RE agent requested same. I further expressed that James Edney may have led her to believe she didn't to create more friction to make him more money. She told me, she didn't trust me or him and he deserves the right to make money in this matter. So....hmmm. This lawyer creates conflict for his own good and not anyone elses. I always thought I could reconcile with my wife, but Jim did not help in this matter. It was only about his paycheck. I'm going to report him to the BAR.

Just a horrible individual. Walks around like a peacock, has no issues destroying people’s lives. I don’t k ow how he sleeps at night. I’m sure he has a family that loves him, but in his pursue of family law he makes sure children are pulled into conflicts and destroys resolutions and parent and child relationships. Like the notorious Nazis used to say ‘we were just following orders’. In his case he ‘just follows instructions ‘. Shameful and disgusting person. I can only hope one day he gets a piece of his own medicine.
