After I was charged with a DUI, David discovered a small detail in the arresting officer's notes that revealed a breach of my charter rights (arbitrary detention). David communicated well with me to explain everything about my case. He found a decision by the Court of QB that came out shortly after I was charged that dealt with similar issues as my case, but in a bit of an opposite way, and he used that case as a very effective argument in having my charter breach recognized and the evidence against me excluded. He won my case and I would highly recommend David to anyone.

David Phillips has served as my legal counsel for approximately a year, as a result of the recent DUI charges I faced. The Crown’s case was clear cut, as there were little to no mistakes made by the arresting officers; it seemed that I was beyond all help. This is when I heeded the advice of a colleague and enacted the legal services of Mr. Phillips. Dave was clear of the case’s difficulties from the start and he beated around no bushes to try and earn my business, which is why I chose him. Mr. Phillips was compassionate, tenacious, and certainly possessed an immense amount of legal expertise. I made the personal decision to proceed to trial, as I was not willing to accept the harsh penalties being imposed on me, but Dave Phillips had other plans. Through his dedicated work ethic, Dave proved the Crown’s charges had errors in their documentation and were an unlawful breach of my Charter rights. I will be forever appreciative of Dave and his first class legal representation. He changed

My wife hired Dave for my bail on the advice of a family friend and he got me out fast-I was so relieved. Bail was kind of pricey but he got me out and previous lawyer said that was not going to happen because of my past and that I should plead guilty. We went to trial and Dave beat 3 of the 4 charges and I had to pay a small fine.My first lawyer said expect 3-6 months jail and convictions to bodily harm assault. Overall the justice system got me into this and it cost me a bit but I'm thankful Dave was my lawyer. The judge agreed with his take on the case and he advised me of the strengths of my case and not to take the "deals" offered to me. Would refer him and hire again.

David Phillips has acted as my representation on two DUI related occasions. Defeat and criminal punishment seemed inevitable in both instances as the cases were both fairly open and shut for the Crown. However, David’s experience and thorough expertise resulted in a withdrawal and an acquittal in the matters (based on Charter breaches) and I am forever grateful for his defense of my cases. David truly cared about my case and is extremely professional, honorable, and a genuinely kind person who kept me up to date with relevant information and did not push me into any unnecessary trials or extra expenses that were not fully required of my case. Furthermore, the cost for my defense was more than fair and reasonable for the work required of the case. I have already recommended David to a friend and would highly recommend him to anyone reading this review.
