Knowledge: Extensive familiarity with family law, experience navigating high-conflict divorces and complex finances; has a good feel for reasonable position and how courts/judges will rule. Communication: Highly accessible by email; if something is urgent, you will get a call or video call request, and Giovanna or another member of her team will reach out at a time that is convenient. Tenacity: Be a reasonable, honest, fair client, and Giovanna will support you through the worst of the worst. Work Quality: Works closely with her law firm partner, Christine Lu, to ensure that documents and financial statements are submitted in a timely manner, according to "the Rules" and without errors. Clean work = good work. Value: The origin of the negative comments on cost are inappropriate - the law firm charges less than comparable downtown firms. Sticker shock can get you, but keep experience, wisdom, and expertise in mind - in the long-run, you will benefit.

Would have been cheaper to do the job myself. Don’t go with her, save your time and your money. Family lawyers have 0 interest for the case to get resolved quickly and smoothly and she played that card with a big smile.

Giovanna and team are patient with their clients, and will provide honest advice (even if it means hearing some inconvenient truths about divorce law). Rates are reasonable and clients are not nickel-and-dimed. Excellent training combined with sharp intellect makes for quite a show-down in the courtroom, particularly if facing an incompetent lawyer on the other side. Prepares a solid case referencing case law extensively, and will gladly collaborate with clients via their preferred means to provide rock-solid evidence for custody battles. Does not rely on emotional arguments. Giovanna and her junior lawyer followed up regularly when our case stalled, always responded in a timely manner - even at odd hours of the day. A general suggestions for all lawyer clients: if you don't ~vibe~ with the lawyer you've hired, go elsewhere. You need to be on the same page to work together productively.

Giovanna and her team were absolutely incredible! They made themselves available to me as necessary and really cared about my well-being as well as the well-being of my children. I do no know what the other reviewers' experience with Ms. Cacciola was in terms of billing, but I found her and her team to be very reasonable. I was not charged to many phone calls and reductions were made to my account out of compassion. I STRONGLY recommend this firm and have nothing bad to say about MS. Cacciola and her junior lawyers.

Absolutely terrible lawyer to work with. She does not act professionally and gives terrible advice to her clients. She causes more problems than she solves. Her methods only increase the legal fees because she causes the other side to hate her. Instead of calming things down, she blows them up. This causes more legal fees to be spent. Stay away. Find another lawyer. Giovanna will only cost you more money and make sure you spend a fortune going to trial. She is too unreasonable and combative.

Ms. Cacciola worked with Aaron Franks when she was at Epstein Cole on my siblings divorce for 4 years. She continued as co-counsel when she switched firms to Sutherland law last year. Giovanna was exceptional. She was not only caring, she is thorough and knew the case inside out. It was a lager complex case involving a family business, a 20 year stay at home spouse, and a high income earner who didnt wat to pay and tried everything possible to drag out the case including having 4 different lawyers. It settled in court order mediation a week before trial largely because Giovanna and her co-counsel Aaron franks were so well prepared. this should have settled 4 years ago but for the despicable behaviour of my former in law. No one wins in these things. The law SI pretty clear so follow the support guidelines, do the equalization and move on with your life.
