A lawyer I had used for my original separation in 2010 recommended Susan to me as a less expensive option for when my ex-husband re-opened the custody/scheduling and financials 5 years later. I was not able to avoid going to court, but Susan handled the 2 court appearances extremely well - she was well prepared and quick on her feet. She helped me to do as much of the prep as I was able, to save $ along the way. She also was able to argue for costs and for sole custody which, amazingly, were awarded to me. I absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for smart, strong and capable legal representation.

Hopeless effort, your case will never be settled, it'll just go on and on and on... $$$$$$$. She recommended a mediation where it was obvious the parties were so far apart, like night and day, complete waste of time and money. Instead of finding a strong position to make a your case, she was more worried about how the other side had a stronger position. She is weak. She thinks separated couples should just live in harmony despite the sheer mental abuse being dished out by the other party. If you have a nice easy case, great go with Susan, otherwise RUN!

Susan is by far the best family law lawyer in Toronto. I've consulted with at least 2 other lawyers before retaining Susan and as soon as I met her, I knew that I wanted her to handle my separation. She is extremely professional and knowledgeable in her area of practice, she was always available to answer questions and is very patient. Susan is also very thorough and will be on your side every step of the way. I would not hesitate recommending Susan to anyone who is going through a separation or divorce.

Susan has a softer approach when communicating to me as a client. She understands that it is often difficult to go through the family law process. She is efficient and her billing tracking by time spent is fair. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a lawyer specialized in family law.
