Stephen LeMeasurier offered to work with me on contingency basis however as my wrongful dismissal trial date was approaching he pressured me into settling my case for very little financial compensation. When I refused he threatened he wouldn't go to trial with me and would bill me an hourly rate for all the time he spent working on my case so far - he estimated the ammount to be $65 000 though we exchanged all of 20 emails and spoke on the phone 4 times. He then left Monkhouse Law very abruptly without ever advising me he would. I believe he has done the same to other clients. Do not engage with this lawyer unless you want to be stresssed out and threatened.

Due to the covid-19 pandemic, my former employer used the opportunity to terminate me unfairly. I consulted with Stephen to get the best possible outcome for myself. I retained Monkhouse Law for a dismissal case and worked with Stephen extensively throughout the entire process, including a trial. Throughout the process, Stephen was extremely helpful in explaining the various steps and processes. He was always available to answer any questions, and would respond back very quickly. Stephen was extremely knowledgeable in terms of the law, and was able to predict with 100% accuracy the outcome of the trial. The results exceeded my expectations. I've recently had a very pleasant and professional experience with Monkhouse Law, more specifically Stephen LeMesurier. He was very thoughtful with pursuing the best course of action, while being very open about all possibilities that could arise.
I was extremely happy with his communication, even throughout the weekend. Going through with an employment issue can be stressful, so the little things like quick responses to your questions makes a big difference.

I contracted Stephen to help me with an unsatisfactory layoff package that I was offered after 37 years with my former employer. He was able to negotiate a very fair and favourable offer through mediation, without having to go to court. Both he and his associate Anessa were very responsive to all email queries I had, always responding the same day, typically within an hour. The whole layoff / litigation process can be very stressful, however Stephen and his team were able to allay my concerns and stress levels through their professional and efficient actions.
