Warning! Do not use Ms. Blocksom for arbitration. She completely sides with the narcissistic abuser, does not understand complex financial/property valuations and makes final judgements without questioning or understanding the whole picture. An appeal will cost you a fortune .. don't make that mistake the first time. She will drown you in her inordinate fees and you will end up with less than half of what you are entitled to just b/c she is in a rush to conclude. Pat, your ticket is up.

I do not think Pat was vested in the Mediation. It took 2 days. Pat was not familiar with how the Pension Plan takes precedence over the Matrimonial Act. It was a very complex divorce with a lot of documents and many many spread sheets. A lot of her comments were, let's not worry about the small numbers (I disagree, it all matters). Once we reached a settlement (in a very rushed and hurried manner), Pat was to send the Award out the next day. She did not. We had to follow up a month later (she forgot). The Award had the wrong date on it, schedules referred to were not attached and the settlement amount was incorrect. Being that, as she states, "has over 4 decades of experience" I was incredibly disappointed with her as Mediator.

Horrible experience in a mediation session which magically turned into an arbitration award. Pat sided with the narcissistic abuser as they always win in mediation. No evidence was used to come to this arbitration award, with numbers pulled out of the air. Then when I was having disputes with my abusive ex and he was improperly calling the police on me as a bullying tactic, Pat who was supposed to intervene with disputes sat back and didn't intervene, causing more harm.
