Roxy Petts is the best arbitrator in Calgary! You will not find a better arbitrator who is logical, unbiased and focused on the child. Roxy is able to listen to all details and evidence to come to a conclusion that is sound and just. Roxy tells it like it is which is refreshing! Roxy makes clear and concise awards that allow parties to follow easily. It seems like other arbitrators are too vague and do not want specifics to be placed in awards which ultimately causes re-work and more money going into the pockets of arbitrators and lawyers. If you want something done properly and in a reasonable timeframe, Roxy is your best bet!

Hired for mediation services. She never said hello or introduced herself or acknowledged my presence in the room when I arrived. She would be supper chatty and personable with the lawyers in the room. Had an extreme air of self-importance, without context or relevance -- opened with all the selfless volunteer activities that she was involved in. Gives long winded monologues where if you try to get in a word in, she will say "I gave you a chance to talk, it is now my turn". If you insist she will turn into a bully and get very angry that you are trying to advocate for yourself.

Excellent mediator/arbitrator. Sometimes a bit slow to get back to emails, but she is busy and in high demand. I understand why she is slow though - she is excellent at cutting through the **** and getting things done. Would go back to her again.

DO NOT HIRE THIS WOMAN!! After 2.5 years of mediation/arbitration I still do not have a parental agreement due to HER mistakes and lack of rendering services already paid for. Then to fix it she wants even more money. She does not listen to anyone or why they are asking for what they are she only looks out for herself NOT the best interest of the child/children. She has been the absolute worst!! 8 months of waiting for the proper revised order only to receive to exact same one

I unfortunately was recently in a mediation/arbitration (M/A) meeting with her. The meeting started off with her taking off her mask and not insisting that everyone sitting at the table wear masks. Secondly there 4 people in the room excluding her and she talked down to 3 of them. And thirdly she would ask for information from the clients and as soon as the information was being presented she immediately stopped and said she did not want to hear detailed specifics. When you google the definition of Mediation she is so far from chairing a M/A meeting. There is as reason she is reviewed at a 2.4 rating on lawyerratingz. Sat away from her if at all possible and even if she charges the minimum wage she is still not worth it. So sad that she even calls herself a lawyer based on my experience with her.

Roxy has enough knowledge to bend the rules & do as little as possible if she does not deem you her favourite. A typo in an Order, & failure to correct it with MEP resulted in 3 months of a licence suspension which will impact my insurance for at least 3yrs. She is not a fair listener, she spent much of her time telling stories and excusing her inability to relate to both divorce & children. During mediation she said regarding my parenting time, "Eight nights a month, what more do you want?!", & "Sometimes you have to suck it up" when I attempted to discuss costs incurred by the typo leading to the suspension. After filing the final Arbitration award, she dismissed both my kid's dad & I, waiting in the lobby for a friend to go for coffee, I turned around to see her shaking hands with the kid's dad, his gf and watched the dad say, "So we're good?", Roxy with the head nod & then after spotting me the 3 bolted in all directions. I've tried to ask for clarity on this...still waiting.

Brilliant, has good people around her. Pleasant to deal with and down to earth. Busy and sometimes that means it takes a while to connect.

I have had an excellent experience with Roxy as my counsel. She is smart, thorough, strategic and well prepared. She cares a great deal about her clients, their children and the outcome but she will be the first to tell that she's not your therapist. If you need a strong, reasoned lawyer that is conscientious about costs yet able to get the job done, I would use her. My family matter is high conflict and she is not one to be intimidated. She can hold her own in court and think on her feet. I've been very happy with her services.

Guys, Seriously stay away from her and Her firm Daunais McKay/Harms Jones. Unless you want to get taken and pay them to work for the other party then help yourself. Very poor customer service all about the $$$ they can bilk you for.

Awful. Junior lawyer in a big firm that charges you a lot to do close to nothing. Almnost lost my case because of her inattention, careless and siding with my ex-wife lawyer. When I demanded answers, she denied everything and said I was crazy.Fired her, got a different lawyer that fixed all her mistakes (at my expense) and actually fought for me.
