Ive actually had a good experience with this lawyer on the family law side and real estate side. She did my separation, sale of my house, then my Wills. There have been periods of lower communication, but shes always gotten back to me and has moved my case along. I see a lot of people talk about emails, but I usually call or use the online system to make appointments and can get a hold of her that way. I know she was also operating solo in the past (that's probably when I experienced the most difficulty getting in touch with her) but she now also has a full time clerk whose been very good as well in my experience. I wouldn't write her off entirely - people are more likely to write bad reviews when they aren't happy but not when they are. She has a very busy office so she must be doing something right for the majority. Just thought I'd add my two cents to balance what's being said.

We were trying to work through probate. Shari Ann is a lovely woman but very disorganized. In her office she left about 5 pages for us to review. She was gone for over 20 minutes and we finally had to ask the receptionist to get her back. That should have tipped us off. Communication with her was very difficult. Emails and messages went unanswered. When we would finally get hold of her she didn’t have the work done. We found another lawyer who accomplished more in 2 weeks than this lawyer did in 5 months after we let her go. No apology or inquiry as to why we were using another lawyer. That’s too bad. She needs to pay attention to what her clients are saying if she wants to stay in business.

Absolutely, do NOT use this women as your lawyer. She will not return phone calls and emails. She frequently shows up to court without documents ready. I've literally had to file my own paperwork after her not getting back to me for 6 months! Then another 6 months later did she finally file a final court order BUT with dates overlapping when it came to the support order so FRO wont touch it. Now after 4/5 years of going to court I need to start from SCRATCH to fix it! I couldnt just get a new lawyer because I was on legal aid or I would have. She is beyond unprofessional. A family lawyer is suppost to help make family court which is extreamly stressful less so not make it into a nightmare. Seriously, stay far away from this women she should not be in family law at all!!!!

can we call this woman a lawyer at all? She is awol never responds to emails or calls and drags out my divorce its been 2 years and shes done nothing. If you are looking to waste money wipe your ass with it will go to better use than hiring this woman.

I've hired Shari-Ann and her service was great. I had no complaints. Closing went by smoothly with no road blocks. Highly recommended

This woman is the most unprofessional and unqualified lawyer I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. Not only does she come to court unprepared with Breifs not filed, wasting everyone's time, she is also extremely ill-mannered. This woman resorts to creating conflict and name calling as a means to attempt to win her clients cases; which she fails miserably at. I would not spend a dollar on this woman. She should not be allowed to practice law. It comes as no surprise that others have complained to the the Law Society about her.

I've been a family law client of Sharie's for two years now. I will admit that at times she is difficult to reach, however she won my case and I always appreciated the fact that she listened to my concerns and did her best to explain the due process. I would recommend her as a family lawyer.

I don’t know about any other matter but as far as family law goes avoid at all cost she’s had my case open for over two years and has absolutely done nothing impossible to get on the phone her assistant has no clue! Avoid this lawyer at all cost that’s my two cents.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the above review. I experienced very much the same service. I have another court date coming up and have no idea what's going on. Im very upset and disappointed by the service I've recieved and I am also considering going to the Upper Law Society. I know she also does real estate law maybe that takes precedence. However, seeing as family law clients are very valnerable and highly stressed she should not take on this field unless she is prepared to act professional and take the stress off clients (which is why we pay a high price for their services).

I hired her for a divorce, she never returned calls or emails for over a year. Missed filing dates causing me to have to file in the courts myself. Then I was fined by the judge. I am in the process of taking action against her with the law society of upset Canada, it was at their suggestion. It has cost me thousands of dollars to retain a new lawyer and the judge is angry at her behaviors once they were verified by the court house and subsequent lawyers.
