Beryl McNeill’s legal competence in a nutshell: terrible communicator: her non-value-add input only served to elongate and derail our process; lazy: Beryl is the first person in the room to volunteer others to do all drafting work; lacking rigour: as reviewing lawyer, her documents were riddled with errors and her comments were consistently off the mark and irrelevant; shamefully expensive: her invoices were engagingly high, given the absolute lack of attention to detail with which she approached her work. If it weren’t for the competence of my husband’s legal counsel, we never would have reached the finish line of this process. Beryl is to be avoided if expediency and quality work is of value to you.

Beryl is not only a terrible lawyer, she’s a bad person. She completely overlooked (well, didn’t care about) my needs as a client. My ex and I were (and remain) amicable but she did every single thing she could do to drag things out, make me feel scared and vulnerable, and to push unnecessary, outlandish additional expenses - a couple of which she managed to trick me into. She kept forgetting my mother was dead even though we had discussed the estate at length, forgot to tell me important details of the law and then charged me for it, and sucked up to my ex’s lawyer while completely neglecting me. It was bizarre to meet someone with so little competency and zero conscience. My experience with her actually reinforced my friendship with my ex as he became protective once her evil tactics to milk me for all she could, became evident. The woman is twisted and possibly has a personality disorder. Stay away at all costs! Otherwise it will cost you.

Honest and decent. I was thankful she knows when to bring in the accounting and tax experts rather than wing it like some others do. Supports collaborative because of the harm that court can do to families. Keeping me from that harm was appreciated.

I have known Beryl McNeill for over 20 years, she is one of the most integral, honest, caring people I know. Her passion and advanced training is to bring agreement and respect to separation and divorce. She has supported my family with clear answers to difficult questions. I highly recommend Beryl to assist in any conflict disputes and you can trust she will always have your best interest at heart.
