Mr. Higginson represented me for my child custody proceedings. Mr. Higginson’s knowledge and advice was instrumental in my success in the case. Mr. Higginson is a knowledgeable, professional and an ethical lawyer. I have recommended Jim to friends and family and am grateful for his representation in my case.

25 years ago we had the unfortunate circumstances of requiring a family lawyer to help us work through a child access and support scenario. Jim was appropriate, kind, knowledgeable and always fair. He helped us to resolve our legal issues and enjoy a loving relationship with a child. Today, the child is an adult. He is loved and so are we! Jim helped make this possible. We developed so much faith in his wisdom and talent that he became our trusted legal resource and first stop for any matter! We referred friends and relatives as well. Jim always took the time to respond and guide us...every, single time! In 25 years, he has never (not once) disapointed us. Is he a good lawyer? I suppose that depends on your goal. We wanted resolution that would have a positive, lifelong affect. No games. He is the only lawyer for us!

Jim Higginson was my divorce lawyer. He’s very intelligent , remembers all of the fine details involved, he’s no nonsense and honest ( which is hard to find in a divorce lawyer from what I hear), and reasonably priced. Honest intelligent and reasonable , what more can you ask for?

Jim Higginson has represented me in my Family Law case for several years. I have won every motion, defeated every motion brought by my children's mother, successfully won a Motion For Emergency Access, successfully won a motion for exclusive possession of the matrimonial home, which was solely owned by me, and actually became successful in having my ex evicted from my property by using the law, and facts. If your honest and don't play games, if you are really fighting for your children and your rights Jim Higginson is your lawyer, but, because he is booked up chances are you cannot retain his services. Anyone that is represented by Jim, and has attended Hamilton court can clearly see he is highly respected by his clients, other lawyers, and the judges. Any posting here contrary to what I have written here is clearly written by someone that Jim has not represented and been on the tail end of his sharp lawyering skills, lol.
