We did a realestate transaction in 2019 and did the whole thing without being asked for government ID! WE have moved several times in Canada and this was the most sloppy realestate transaction we ever did. She did not ensure conditions had been met, she did not verify in writing that what we asked for in a condition was obtained and even said that we should not tell the insurance company we did not have house insurance only tenants insurance because the owners had to go through the CRA before title could be transferred. This took a few months. Would never recommend this lawyer to anyone.

Karmelle Johnston was my lawyer while going through a very nasty divorce. I did not understand a lot of the legal jargon that was being thrown at us. I was and still am so thankful that I had Karmelle in my corner. She kept me informed as to what the other side was doing and when it was getting ridiculous (Because all divorces are not pretty, mine was a war), she helped me keep my cool and explained what the best options were for me. She was there for me every step of the way. You definitely need someone with her knowledge and coolness to fight for you. I will not hesitate to use her services again for anything law related.

I am dealing with Karmelle now in a very messy custody case. She is extremely patient and sensible. The other lawyer involved is dirty and clearly has herself, not the children’s, best interest in mind. Karmelle truly cares about her clients.(especially my children) I am very glad I didn’t go with the first lawyer I interviewed because combined with my ex’s lawyer, we would have been spending much more money, and having way more heartache. She keeps it real, which is what we need when involved in a contentious battle. Her mediation skills are incredible, especially dealing with difficult people. She knows how the system works, and doesn’t sink to other levels some lawyers do.

You couldn't pay me to use Karmelle again. She was rude, unresponsive, and lazy. Our house purchased closed a week late because she was so unorganized (despite giving her a two month notice).

I used Karmelle for a while & then switched to a lawyer that cost way more in Calgary that was supposed to be one of the best in AB. All he did was cost me more $. Karmelle is great. She knows what she is talking about & unlike most lawyers she truly cares about her clients. The best thing she did was lose Resolve Legal. She will be far more successful on her own!

This lawyer seemed really nice at first but as time went on it became clear that she really was out of her depth and was kind of making things up as she went along I am really unhappy that I now have to pay to have another lawyer at Resolve Legal clean up the mess she made.

I had been served with some Claim form and needed to go to Court. I hired Karmelle from Resolve Legal Group who went to Court for me just yesterday. Her approach was methodical and I liked how she explained the entire process to me. I was nervous about being in Court (my first and only time there) but she reassured me that regardless of the outcome, things would be okay. She was right and I'm very happy that I had her in my corner.
