I was a client until last week of Mr. Kennard. He represented me in two cases and my experience was horrible.
*All of the lawyers originally on my case left the firm after not being paid
*Little to no work was done.
*Mr Kennard asked to withdraw from both of my cases claiming since the lead attorney left he did not have the ability to handle the caseload.
*One case was Federal, he nearly missed deadlines, the complaint was so bad other lawyers said not only was it to the worst, not only did it need a redo, but it looked like a non lawyer, me, wrote the document.
*This case was served improperly, only of the three parties got service and the summons was wrong, my case was nearly ruined.
*Alfonso refused to refund the retainer, claiming it covered the leg work of filing and that he had setup my case so another firm very easily could continue.
Alfonso is a liar and alcoholic who scams clients to collect retainers, cheats his clients, employees, and the IRS. He should be disbarr

I highly advise anybody to avoid this firm as they accepted my $5k retainer and then ghosted me for over a year.I still have not been able to get ahold of anybody there to resolve this despite countless emails and calls.

Dishonest, lies, steals. Do NOT hire! I am going on 18 months with zero progress. I filed a grievance and he still continued to lie. He threatened to sue me for giving him a bad review. Stay clear.

Kennard is dishonest and incompetent. I would not recommend hiring him. Kennard took my money $15,000.00 retainer and did very little. Kennard and his associate were both rude. He ignored several requests to refund unearned retainer fees. Also, do not sign Kennard's Attorney-Client Agreement. Kennard has an arbitration clause which states disputes will be settled by the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Kennard does a lot of business with the AAA, he doesn't have to pay fees or cost of arbitration with this group but any former client filing a dispute against him will incur thousands in fees with the AAA. You have been told. Stay AWAY. Kennard was found guilty of a DWI in Harris County Courts in 2018 (see State of Texas v. Alfonso Kennard Case: 2156351. Alcohol abuse may be the root of some of his incompetence. He is also wrapped up in a messy divorce which may be another source of his rudeness and incompetence.

I hired Kerrards firm to handle a lawsuit. After a few documents I received was incorrect I asked this company not to submit nothing to other party until I seen it. I was told all these things was going to be asked in seeking damages. First demand letter was $500,000, but I was told I had to go through arbitration instead of the County Courts. I asked did we need another agreement signed and I was told "NO". I didn't know Kennard's had wrote another demand letter seeking $50,000. My wages are above $50,000 along. Makes me think they are working for my ex-employer. Very Upset

I retained Alfonso Kennard's services. I think the Mr. Kennard takes on too many cases and cannot properly serve his retained clients. Mr. Kennard did not communicate well with me via email or phone. I usually spoke to his paralegal. The quality of the law firms work, in my opinion, was below standards. I had to contact his office in order to remind him of deadlines regarding documents that needed to be sent to opposing counsel. I paid top dollar thinking I would be receiving top dollar services. I would not recommend this attorney or his firm.
