I hired M Buchan 2 times over several years (separation then divorce). I found her OUTSTANDING. She's adept at keeping things stream-lined. She does the work, listens to and respects your input, counsels with knowledgeable expertise, and NEVER bloats her services, her counsel, or her bill. She does her work in a timely and concise manner and nearly always responds within 24 hours to your emails or calls. Going through a divorce can be an extremely stressful, sad, or difficult thing. This is one RARE lawyer who won't add more strain to that by leading in extraneous 'make money' consultations; won't make communication difficult; and won't sideline a small-settlement client leaving you to feel dismissed or unimportant. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND her services, especially for anyone who may be communication-challenged, timid, or overwhelmed at the thought of having to face this very difficult process. She will get the work done and extend courtesy, respect, fairness and objective care throughout.
