I was introduces to Karen by reference of a colleague . She was super fast in response and setting up meeting on zoom. Karen is very knowledgeable and she knows the right way to respond in legal matters. She have high work ethics and takes responsibility of the task. The peace of mind that , what I am talking makes sense to her and she can fully relate to the incident as she have been trained in multiple fields and have grass root level is very comforting .She have this rare quality that she listens to you and respond with logical answer. After being put into a position where I needed to retain an employment lawyer, I came across Karen's reviews here and decided to contact her. Almost immediately, she made herself available on a weekend for a call regarding my situation. Karen has been amazing to deal with and has really gone above and beyond what you would expect from an average lawyer. She was always fully knowledgeable on all aspects of the law and was able to answer all of my questions. She was also able to communicate with the other party on my behalf while being in control in order to resolve the situation. I will definitely be giving Karen a call in the future if ever I need a lawyer.

Karen and I met at Union station in Toronto. We took the same train and I ended up missing my stop because we were so engaged in our conversation about, being mothers of black men in North America and people with disabilities issues. It was clear to me that she was passionate about making a difference in people’s life. I began talking about my brother who has been diagnosed with a rare vision impairment that has been affecting his ability to perform any kind of TEST or Exams. Karen has been a great help in fighting for his right to have access to appropriate measures to complete different kind of exams. She sets clear expectation at the beginning so there is no misunderstanding. She will always talk to me and my brother in simple words we can understand. Being a new, unwilling & frustrated participant in the legal process had made me hesitant & wary: by the time I met Karen I had a lot of expectations for her to manage.
As she took me through the logistics of what was going to happen there was a graciousness in her delivery that I came to see is how she works. It’s a given that your lawyer is going to know the law as it relates to your case, but I believe what separates Karen from other lawyers isn’t the result of her law degree.
The control & adaptability with which Karen managed every aspect of our exchanges with each other, her exchanges with law enforcement officers, and in meetings with the co-lawyer on my case was, at all times, superior in showcasing her ability to assess & affect situations to get the outcome we discussed.

For all dental professional: Karen's dedication and professionalism is a rare and valuable asset. I just sold my practice and have a well known lawyer that I have been using for the last 30 years. We brought Karen on to the team to assist in extremely difficult negotiations with the landlord, as well as the purchasers Karen was the reason the sale happened and was instrumental in the negotiations. She was able to think out of the box and really stepped up when obstacles arose. She was worth every penny spent and then some! Karen Ergus recently completed our employment contract for 17 employees in my office. I have nothing but positive things to say about her excellent service. It was a very difficult task I was implementing since over half my staff has been with me for over 15 years. I spend a lot of time with my lawyer selection and reviewed many candidates. I found Karen to be the most financially affordable, sincere and available for my busy schedule. Through out her service, she was prompt, professional, Knowledgeable and kept me focused to complete this difficult task. The tension in my office was somewhat tense at the beginning when I first brought up the idea of employment contract. But once presented, everyone was OK with it. I thought the success had a lot to do with Karen's skill and knowledge in creating a fair and reasonable agreement. I was pulled over by a police officer and given a ticket for driving with a hand-held communication device. I knew I was innocent but at the end of the day, an average Joe like myself can even feel like "just paying the ticket" is less complicated and easier than fighting for what is right. SHE IS A LIAR AND A CHEAT WITH NO KNOWLEDGE WHO IS ONLY THINKING OF STEALING YOUR MONEY IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY!! DON'T GO TO HER, YOU WILL REGRET IT! If I could I would have give her less than 1. She should not even be called a lawyer, all she thinks about is just getting your money and nothing else. She doesn't seem that way at first and she says all the things that you want to hear but then she treats you like dirt, she has no experience zero knowledge and no heart! Please please save ourself and accept anything else but DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH HER!! She is a terrible person to begin with, she lies about everything. She is nothing but a hungry lying lawyer. I have to say that I am very disappointed with Sicotte Guilbault as well and my long loyal relationship with them ends here with this horrible experience with Karen Ergus and the fact that she cost me losing my case with her lies and lack of knowledge and Michel Sicotte did nothing to fix that!!
