Karen was very knowledgeable and empowering. Her clear advice enable me better to understand the implications of my new contract to ensure that it was fair and would protect me. She was able to accommodate meeting with me outside of regular business hours. I would highly recommend contacting her before signing any new contract!

Karen called us backed promptly and answered our questions honestly. She told us what the first steps were and if after that we needed help, she'd be happy to work for us. We really appreciated her taking the time to listen and give some advice. If we do go forward, we will definitely go forward in hiring her.

Karen is such a compassionate person that truly cares about her clients. She was attentive when she listened to me talk and was very quick at responding to my emails and phone calls. Karen is confident when she speaks, is very knowledgeable and immediately had an action plan for my case, which was very comforting to me at an otherwise difficult time. I felt like I was very well taken care at all times. I can surely tell that this is Karen’s passion and that she is not just a lawyer for the money. It was apparent that I was not just a number to Karen and she even followed up with me to check on how I was doing after the case was closed. She always conducts herself in an extremely professional matter and is straight to the point. Karen and I met at Union station in Toronto. We took the same train and I ended up missing my stop because we were so engaged in our conversation about, being mothers of black men in North America and people with disabilities issues. It was clear to me that she was passionate about making a difference in people’s life. I began talking about my brother who has been diagnosed with a rare vision impairment that has been affecting his ability to perform any kind of TEST or Exams. Karen has been a great help in fighting for his right to have access to appropriate measures to complete different kind of exams. She sets clear expectation at the beginning so there is no misunderstanding. She will always talk to me and my brother in simple words we can understand. She gives, clear and precise instructions that are easy to follow. I am grateful for her work and can only pray that she will touch as many lives as possible!

Karen is very proactive in trying to help me. She checks in on me to see how everything is. She makes sure that my legal side of things are taken care of. What ever I do now I'll be checking in with her to make sure from a legal stand point every thing is okay. Great to have her on my team. Karen has been fantastic with helping me through this legal process. She has been knowledgeable about the proper steps to take, and stands by the law. Karen has so much passion for what she does, and is determined to stand up for those she is representing. Karen has been easy to speak with and is a great communicator. Having to seek a lawyer typically happens at the worst of times. Karen has been so companionate and understanding though this process. I was pulled over by a police officer and given a ticket for driving with a hand-held communication device. I knew I was innocent but at the end of the day, an average Joe like myself can even feel like "just paying the ticket" is less complicated and easier than fighting for what is right. Karen Ergus, single-handedly, made this not so. She took on my case with confidence and went through the due process with great transparency and communication every step of the way.
