Best lawyer in Nova Scotia. Exceptional legal ability. Very smart and hard working. Knows the law and will get to the heart of your case fast. Very good guy - cares about you and your case. Superb on strategy. Trustworthy. Comes up with unique legal arguments to win your case. Takes on large law firms or small with ease. Will outwit the most ruthless of opponents before they know it. Recommend him for any case without hesitation. This guy is the very best lawyer you could ask for.

I have used Jim O'Neil repeatedly for 20 years and so has every person I know in need of an excellent lawyer. He has style and grace in any courtroom, is well respected by all who know him and is extremely dedicated to his clients. I have never once reached out to him without getting a very timely response. He has offered to help many needy people without charge and to some this has made a tremendous difference in their lives. I consider Jim not only my lawyer but also my friend. Anytime I need info I just text, email or call him directly and he is always there for me with an answer. His first question has never been when do I get paid, that is not his major concern, his clients' well-being and helping them to face the reality of their situation is. Sometimes when dealing with the legal system I was very scared over nothing and he always made sure I was comforted with all the facts, the pros and the cons and was upbeat. I feel a tremendous amount of confidence when using Jim!!

If you want a guy that falls asleep in the court room, doesn't return your calls, has no clout amongst his peers and has also been charged with tax evasion... This is your man. Just don't bother with this one. His shortest distance between two points techniques will only hurt you and your case. He won't read you evidence. He doesn't submit court paperwork on time. He doesn't keep his clients informed of changing circumstances. I leave you with one example that sums up my entire experience with this cartoon character. He tells me he's going away for a few weeks and will be in touch upon his return. I receive an email after the his return stating that I should retain other counsel because he hasn't heard from me in a few weeks. I point out the fact I've been waiting on him while my case flounders. This man is useless, useless, useless! I can't wait for the Canadian Bar Association
