I know this lawyer Ryan Gillissie because he represented my friend Chris. I just happened to put his name in the Google search engine hoping to find his number and came across these reviews about him. I observed Mr. Gillissie in action in the courtroom advocating Chris' case as if it was a boxing match going toe to toe fighting with one of the arrogant Family Court Justices. Every lawyer that appeared before this judge previous to Ryan, appeared very intimidated by this judge. However, by the time Ryan was finish arguing his point back and forth with the judge without any hesitation, the judge finally caved in to giving Ryan exactly what he wanted! Everyone in the courtroom, including other lawyers were amazed at his performance. I was totally impressed by his knowledge and style. I deal with several unique and prestigious lawyers concerning various high-end criminal case and believe me, they are exceptional in action and to be truly honest, so is Ryan Gillissie without doubt!

After hiring Mr. Gillissie to defend our family in a Children's Aid Society matter, it became shockingly obvious throughout both the out of court and in-court appearances with us, that he clearly did not meet any form of reasonable performance standards to be anywhere near effective in this particular area of law which placed our family in a very precarious position representationally. The tipping point came when during a court appearance, Mr. Gillissie was stopped by the judge during a moment where he appeared confuses about what he was being asked to answer on our behalf which was, "DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE TWO TESTS ARE THAT THE CHILDREN'S AID SOCIETY HAS TO MEET IN ORDER TO SUPPORT A CHILD PROTECTION APPLICATION". After a brief moment of silence, Mr. Gillissie shockingly answered back "I DONT KNOW". At this point, we were stunned and terrified that our lawyer was not in possession of the basic knowledge in this area of law to defend us, and was promptly fired. Avoid at all costs please
