I wouldn't know what kind of a lawyer she is. I reached out to her office two weeks ago for assistnace with a simple divorce. I just wanted to ask a few questions before I signed the ex's papers. I sent her all of the appropriate forms and info asap and have not heard back from her office. I emailed, called and left a message, then emailed again to say "thanks you clearly dont want to assist me nor want my business, I will go somewhere else." Its likely because I wont be spending a tonne of money

at the beginning Whitney made me feel confident she assured me that she was going to help me with my case. I gave her all my information she had requested. She also requested that I send her my ex husband Full name, phone number and the name of our construction company. She took all the information and started preparing my case. this was in December 2020. In April 2021 i went to stay at a shelter with my kids. I had high hopes that Whitney was going to help me get child support and spouse support from my Ex husband so I can support my kids and find a place to live. but in April 2021 Whitney Smith called me to tell me that she wasn’t going to represent me anymore. She said my two children didn’t need child support money. because I was receiving child tax benefits. She said I also didn’t need spousal support because I was receiving welfare. What kind of a lawyer says that to her clients. I see rich divorce woman still receiving child support, spouse support. Is she a real lawyer.

I trusted in Whiney's advice as she told me she wanted to help me. I believed her. She did just the opposite, and after making my situation a lot worse, she bailed on me to save herself and her reputation. She agreed for me to sign a release document that I never saw that contained false statements. She did not follow on an order for questioning that was in my interest. She allowed the opposing party to avoid full disclosure and allowed for injustice to prevail. She did not fight for her client's legal rights. Her actions have caused me to pay an equalization that never should have been paid, and did not fight for spousal support that I am due. She allowed injustice to prevail because of her negligence in not seeking disclosure and in fighting for me to be with my kids. She is incapable of dealing with complex cases where fraud and misrepresentation are present. I am left with thousands in fees and losses to clean up the mess she created for me.

I used Whitney twice. Once when she was with Durbin and Associates. She quit the firm and the court orders were never enforced. I gave her a second chance at her new firm in Dundas and she cited a conflict with the opposing counsel 8 days before a court appearance and quit again. Completely unethical lawyer.

After being let down elsewhere, we came to Whitney in a bit of a time crunch . She graciously made time for us on very short notice to get the job done without cutting any corners. Much appreciated!

Whitney is a wonderful lawyer who not only offers the utmost in professionalism but also concerns herself with her clients' well-being. She was great to work with while I struggled through the ups and downs of a separation. She was extremely responsive (as was her assistant) and very prompt in dealing with any issues as they arose. All in all, a great experience in an otherwise unpleasant situation. Very impressed with the service I received from Whitney.

Whitney did excellent work for me when I needed assistance with a separation agreement. Whitney was always professional and kind. She understood my needs and respected my opinions, and also made insightful recommendations when needed. The separation agreement was a high quality document that reflected what was important to me in clear language. I strongly recommend Whitney for matters of family law.

Very knowledgeable and realistic about what could happen during a case. Came to her late in my case- wish it had been sooner.
