I hired Mr. Shelby for a divorce proceeding. After I submitted my $3,500 retainer, which he expressed to me would cover the entire process, he could not be found! I would get PDF files (legal documents) via email from him which I could not completely understand. I would inquire via email and then by phone, rarely getting a response and when I did it was extremely short and non explanatory. Mr. Shelby conducts his physical meetings on Sundays, who does that? My wife's attorney was pushing Kevin around to the point that I became frightened of the final outcome. I fired Kevin and hired Paul Vance. Remarkable was the difference between the two! The Vance Firm responded to all inquiries in all forms, progress was being made at every turn, I could sleep nights once again! I heard some positive things regarding Mr. Shelby, however I believe his lawyering days are over. Some people just lose interest in their so-called chosen professions. This is clearly the case for Kevin Patrick Shelby.
