Avash is knowledgeable, but it seems he is ONLY in the business for the money. He doesn’t really seem to care about who he represents. He is very sneaky about padding his billing. For example, if he forgets to mention something in an email and sends you a second email because of HIS oversight, he will charge YOU for BOTH emails. He does this ALL THE TIME. Very shady to say the least. Don’t even try to have a polite, normal conversation about anything with him, he will charge you for every minute for the PRIVILEGE of attempting to have a friendly conversation. I would never ever use him again. There are plenty of other lawyers around. Ones that don’t bill you for their oversights, care about their clients, and don’t view their clients as just a bunch of billable hours!

Hired Av for my divorce. Got my son back from his mother. Did not have to pay any alimony. Got half of the money from our property and kept my business. Very happy with his services. Kept me informed and did not back down during negotiations. I recommend hiring Av if you want a no **** and hard working lawyer.

Avash was professional at what he was doing and showed sincere concern about my situation. He works with full involvement in his job and makes sure that he does his best to support his clients. He also showed flexibility in understanding my cultural differences and explaining me the way it works in Canada. I had good results of my divorce process and I can highly recommend Avash as a divorce lawyer.

Av has been very helpful and efficient in helping during a nasty seperation. He was willing to work with me and made sure to answer all of my questions. Avash for me did his job well. Recognized the sensitivity of my issue and gave multiple options of resolution within the legal system. He also was not afraid to listen when I brought things to his attention and he saw right through the lies being given by the other party involved. Although my issue is not completed, I am satisfied with things to date.

His behaviour is unbecoming of a lawyer. He went as far as to threaten my spouse, believing he had power over us, when we were paying him for a service. Fees were repeatedly misquoted and calling to understand or question them incurs more charges. We fired him and found a new lawyer, one that completed the task at half the price that he had charged to just communicate with us through email. He made false claims about what he could do, clearly showing a lack of knowledge around family law.

Definitely the best lawyer I have ever had!! He’s so hard working, organized, and is always fighting for my best interests!!! I wouldn’t be where I am now without all of his dedication to my case. Mr. Sethi helped finalize my divorce. It took a lot of court including a special, and was not cheap, but he handled himself extremely well under pressure. He was strategic and although we didn’t agree on things at times - he got what I needed done. I have most of the decision making and spousal support - oh and did I mention I was the husband? Unheard of, right! I also have the opportunity to relocate to BC. Mr. Sethi managed to impute my ex’s income in court despite her lawyers excuses and managed to obtain retroactive support. What I truly appreciated was how Mr. Sethi ensured I was part of the process the entire time even though I was difficult at times. He always had time to listen to me and he showed compassion. My kids adore him because of the way he treated me. I wish him nothing but success because he deserves it. If you read this, thank you for EVERYTHING!! Avash helped in a tough situation. Had good advice and when needed was there. He doesn’t console you he tells you the way it is. He cares for his clients. It was a tough divorce process but did get me through it and gave me good advice in the end. Thanks Avash.

I would advice everyone to stay away from this lawyer. I have never seen any lawyer like this. I believe he may be the one giving himself good reviews on this site. He promises and says things that he cannot deliver on. Once he gets the money, his actions and attitude change. He backtracked on what he was to do. He billed me for silly things and for errors that he made.I really really regret engaging his services. Took my money but did not do what he was to do. Please be warned.

Av handled my separation agreement,which blew up twice because of my ex. He handled it with professionalism and got the job done. He fought hard for me and ensured I didn't have to pay spousal for the next 9 years. Hell, I don't have to pay spousal at all lol. He also got me 50/50 with my kids and the house. All for a very reasonable price. I'm pretty excited to start a new beginning, but was disappointed it ended the way it did. Not only did Av get me what I needed, he helped me get through a very dark time in my life. I am very appreciate of him and his services. Awesome guy and lawyer!

Avash just got me my children back from my ex who made an application behind my back and lied to take them from me. This man is amazing! Thank you Avash for giving me my children. You made me feel confident and it was very heartwarming to see how much you cared. You took the time out of your schedule to speak to me like a human being. Mr. Sethi was given my file last minute before my matter was to be heard in Special Chambers. I was informed by my previous lawyer that I had a losing case because I wanted my husband to pay child support for our two children and whatever he owed for our son's university education. Mr. Sethi took the file when nobody would and went against very senior counsel from Calgary. Needless to say, I was terrified because I had no idea what Mr. Sethi could do for me given how last minute it was. Mr. Sethi walked in there extremely prepared, knew everything about my file and my family. He managed to satisfy the Justices questions and made excellent submissions. I got my child support and my husband had to pay 85% of our son's university. I was extremely happy with the outcome. Mr. Sethi is a very ambitious lawyer who will ensure things are done correctly. He is not scared to take on other counsel and he is very knowledgeable. I have since kept him as my lawyer and will not go to anyone else.

Used this lawyer and was very unhappy with the outcome in court. Came to court unprepared and did not get the desired outcome for a very simple matter. Would not recommend this lawyer or any lawyer at Robert DeVries law office. Office is very unorganized and you really get the royal run around.

Straight shooter. Does not waste time and is aggressive when it is warranted. He handled my file, had a judge's order overturned and had my daughter returned to me within the week on an emergency basis. I cannot express the gratitude I have for this man.

I cannot say enough amazing things about my lawyer Avash. He is understanding, compassionate and wants to help you. His work speaks for itself of how passionate he is and how he wants to help you. The first time I walked into his office I felt scared and unsure of what I have gotten myself into, but within minutes of our first meeting I knew he was the lawyer for my case. Mr. Sethi took my fears away and gave me hope that everything will work out.
