Kathryn charged me $15,000 (27 hours) for a file that she helped with that spanned at most 2 weeks. I have no idea where she found the hours to bill that much with all the other files she was working on. She let the first meeting go on and on because she wanted to charge more. She wrote maybe 10 emails and one document for $15,000. She also didn't reply in time to submit a decision after I had given her direction on what I wanted to do. She tried to charge me for those extra emails that were her fault for missing. She's not the only lawyer I have seen like this. The legal system is broken and benefits the wealthy only. I think that lawyers need to be accountable for the hours that they are charging and there should be laws around how they bill and charge for their hours. Like they can only charge out 10 hours max per day to keep them from double charging. Lawyers will have lunch together and talk about 5 files in common and then charge all 5 files for an hour.

I don’t understand these bad ratings. This lawyer really helped me when my previous lawyer waisted my time and money with bad advice. She gave me new advice that the other lawyer didn’t think about, and that really helped me and will make a huge difference to my future. Recomended

Kathryn did not serve me well. In fact I eventually saw the light and terminated our relationship. She over bills, under represents and is tardy on responding to issues. She was more concerned about maintaining a great relationship with opposing council than representing me. I suggest you keep looking for a lawyer.

100% Agree with all the comments below. Waisted so much time and money with her. She got nothing done over 3yrs and I had to fire her. Discussing how she takes advantage of the situation to make money and doesn't care about the actual job she is doing. She has no ethics and defiantly should not be allowed to practice law.

I agree with the other comments that were made by other reviewers. I made the mistake of hiring her and realized that she is a crook. I ended up firing her and will never recommend her. She should lose her license to practice law

She tricks you into repeating the same info you gave her before the meeting - to brief her a head and bills you for $500. That's underhanded trick #1 they teach at law school!

Kathryn Tweedie recently represented my ex husband. If you are looking for a lawyer that will employ stalling tactics and ignore communication from alternate lawyers then she is your person. Her level of professionalism is horrendous and her she files documents that have zero legal bearing just to bill hours. She will not respond to letters submitted and if she does, she can apparently only respond to one question at a time approximately a month later. What's even more ridiculous, is she writes articles and then when dealing with cases that involve what she wrote, she contradicts herself 100%. You will only waste money and time working with her.
