Do not remove this review, this needs to be out for the public. Bewear! This mediator/arbitrator has a big chip on her shoulder. She is judgmental and forms strong bias'. She is unprofessional and believes the lies of manipulative and very abusive ex's. She makes assumptions and perpetuates the abuse by following through with demonizing comments about the victim in the order. My children are at risk of abduction and she further made this a potential. If you have left an abusive relationship DO NOT use Sierra Yanush in your court matters.

Sierra is an exceptional and highly skilled attorney. Before meeting her, I consulted with three other laywers, all of whom deemed my case unlikely to succeed. By the time I reached out to Sierra, I felt discouraged. Sierra was fantastic. My ex and I did mediation with another lawyer collaboratively, and then hired independent lawyers to finalize things. Sierra was mine, and was meant to do the separation and my ex’s was to do the divorce. The ex’s lawyer was a nightmare to the point that he decided to use mine for the divorce. Sierra was wonderful and supportive through every step of the way. I gave her a lower score on tenacity because I didn’t want tenacity! The ex and I were amicable and it seemed like his lawyer was trying to create conflict so she could keep billing him. Sierra was the opposite! Highly reccomend.

I hired Sierra to apply for retroactive child support for my adult daughter
Sierra was successful in imputing an income to my ex, getting retroactive support for all four years applied for, including a gap year between high school and university, and costs were ordered against the other side
I received double costs because we made a reasonable offer for settlement, which was not accepted, and the hearing results were more in my favour than the offer to settle was. Highly recommend Sierra to anyone!

Sierra is a kind, well informed lawyer who guided me through my divorce with patience and generosity. I transferred my case to Sierra after being with another law firm after her being recommended by a lawyer friend. She learned my case quick and she took deep interest in all that happened, she took on the assault from my ex and her lawyer no problem and was more knowledgeable about everything than the opposing lawyer. We finally were able to settle and so happy with her work, I would recommend her to anyone going through a separation.

Sierra knows the law. Asking senior partners for strategic advice is the sign of a good lawyer. She's resourceful and very knowledgeable. She will not placate you, nor the opposition. She manages expectations well and tells it like it is. She's empathetic but realistic. She knows the difference between good and bad evidence. I trust her.

Still going through this whole but at every turn she's had to go to a more senior partner to get an opinion. She doesn't seem to have an opinion of her own. She's accepting my ex's lawyer's opinions as pure fact even when presented with evidence to the contrary. Doesn't have any interest in enforcing a non-contact order for me. Has no initiative through my case yet and is leaving it up to me to find any points to use or come up with any strategy.

The comments below seem a little authored. She’s not bad, but I think it took her three times the amount of time it should have for a support order. Not sure if that’s her inexperience or design to run up the bill. Pleasant enough. But not really available after 5. Ok result. I guess there’s worse out there.

Ms. Yanush was an absolute legal saving grace for myself and my Autistic 3 year old Son through the most difficult and stressful time of our lives.
