We used Abram for our arbitration. We were married under 2 years with no children and one party was self-represented. I signed the arbitration agreement in November 2020, 1 day of arbitration on March 8, 2021, as per his contract there was an award to be issued within 30 days. We received the award August 12th. Abram completely unreachable for the summer. The fact that he didn't do his contracted job within his timelines added stress, conflict and a huge amount of costs to the process chasing him around all summer for an award. To top it all off, he stuck us with a $38,000.00 bill before he would release the award. That 4 months of sitting in limbo cost us our health and happiness, was the MOST challenging time of my life and is taking a long time to recover. This lawyer is only concerned with billing and makes his own schedule regardless of a signed contract. No compassion to the very difficult circumstances of divorce.

Abram's attention to detail is professional and definitely is not gullible to which he has argued the Supreme Court of Canada; notable. At no time has he accepted "the other side" and yes he has a friendly demeanor because that is what works for him. Neither my ex nor opposing counsel has gotten what they want and frankly he has frustrated them at every turn it would seem. After nine years of litigation, I'm not the easiest client sometimes and point of fact is that he has been able to balance my expectations with reality. Not an easy thing to do so credit is to him. More than a year of service to my sons and I and have to say, few complaints; not everyone is perfect and such is life. I do consider him ethical with a good moral compass unlike others of his profession; believe me. Unfortunately I am a slow learner...like Winston...and Abe HAS helped me deal with the shear absurdity of it. My baseline is Jeff Wise for seven years. Chris Charbonneau; father of two young boys.

Poor attention to detail. Unprofessional. Gullible. Despite billing the time it was apparent he did not review the history of the case transferred to him. He accepted what the other side told him at face value instead of believing or even asking his client. He has a friendly demeanor. Unfortunately he used it to establish rapport and an affinity with the other side instead of with his own client and his work and poor results reflected this. Also appeared to have no support or oversight by more senior lawyers at the firm.
