Chris Achkar is a bully and a human rights violator, he is a very bad person. He tried to get me to agree to a low ball settlement and threatened reprisal of quitting if I didn't accept it! Hecut off accommodations without explanation or respect. Achkar and his team get a low grade, this is my honest review.

Mr Achkar is all show and no substance. He had no clue what to do on my file. I was terminated without cause due to Covid and it was a very bad decision hiring this man. He’s good at posting articles on social media. He should stick to that. There are better employment law firms out there who specialize in this area and who have actually fought for their clients at trial. This man and entire firm has no trial experience. I should have done my research but got sucked into the advertising. He filed a claim in the wrong court people! If you don’t believe me, check out the embarrassing decision online Findlayter and Rogers Communication. Wouldn’t be surprised if a good review pops up here right after mine. Avoid.

I hired Achkar Law to help with my situation. I specifically asked for a named partner to work my case. I was looking for advice and solid negotiating skills. A flag should have been raised when he said he didn't need to read the documentation from my employer. What should have been a 1 month process (in my opinion) turned into 6. For the small extra support I received from my employer, it went to pay my legal fees. All communication was electronic except for initial conversation. I had to deal with numerous other junior colleagues. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Hiring Chris was a bad decision. In my opinion from working with him, he was constantly telling us different things, there was poor communication, numerous errors, and high charges. Even after promises he made, he still failed to deliver. Would not recommend to anyone.

Many have warned how unpleasant it is to deal with employment lawyers who play by the book and dry up your bank account pretty quickly. So "avoid them if you can" has been their advice....The experience with Chris is anything but that...Chris has far exceeded my expectations. Not only has the payout increased by 40% as a result of Chris skillful negotiation, the entire process has been pleasant and amiable. I was let go from my position and devastated. I was advised to find a lawyer and after reading through reviews I contacted Christopher. This was the best decision I had made. It was difficult to discuss my situation but as soon as I had met with Christopher he was very easy to talk to and he wanted to help.
