He knew what I was asking for and agreed to help, but time and again despite numerous follow ups, my communications went unanswered. Left me feeling unworthy of his attention and care, and as others have said, I felt strung along, likely in the hopes that I would cave and just go for the “big package” service offering which I made clear was not possible from day one. Now I’m left scrambling for someone to help with several important deadlines looming…

I’m sorry to say but don’t trust a word he sais, for over 4 months he stung me along promising to go to court promising next week promising just finishing up the work, while always asking for money, and coming up with a new excuse why we can’t go this week. 4 months later still not gone to court. He missed clear instruction from reports from the DPJ, he missed emails from opposing lawyer delaying further the matter, he disregards my urgency and my concern for the safety for my daughter. He missed evidence that was submitted by the defendant and did not address them in his report, he is disorganized and unprofessional. I now found a caring competent lawyer at almost half the hourly rate, please I advise you to take some time and find yourself someone more competent and caring.

Mr Mergui has been referred to me from a friend of mine who was going through a child custody battle. Dealing with the same issues, i decided to take a shot with him because the previous attorney that i had worked with had worsen my case. In a short period of time (rougly 3 months), he accomplished more than what the previous attorney had done in 8 months. Needless to say, i made the right decision. Today marks the day of a new life for me and my kids. A huge weight has fallen of my shoulder. 2 years of constant stress and anxiety has turned into relief. He has great wit evidenced by his good sens of humor, he's charismatic, knowledgeable and super sharp. He will make you feel comfortable and treat you like a legit friend. I can't thank him enough for what he has done for us. With that being said, i can finally rest my case. I highly recommend him.

Sadly, I do not feel that I received impartial advice. My appointment, which started late and only lasted 30 minutes, was also rushed. As a result, I wasn't able to provide complete information about my case. It was my belief that attorneys are supposed to work FOR their clients, not offer advice based on their own prejudices and biases. I was clearly mistaken. As for value, I was charged an outrageous amount of money for a mere 30-minute appointment, which didn't satisfy my needs or answer my questions in a relevant manner. It is my strong belief that I did not receive impartial or fair service, and, as a woman, this will strongly affect the way I deal with lawyers - especially male ones - in the future.

Compasionate lawyer with excellent knowledge of family law. No sense of entitlement or bullish attitude, a refreshing attitude coming from a profession associated with a holier than though attitudes.
