Amazing lawyer, will fight for you like it's own file. He cares for his clients. He is fair on the billing and very reasonable. He is very direct and will not try to tell you things just to be nice to you.

I had a consultation. Told him my ex with held my children for over a year and is alienating them from me. He suggested a voice of the child report? Not suitable for parental alienation cases because the child simply echoes the favoured parent. I don't think he knows what he is doing. He will likely help the alienator end the relationship with the target parent.

Extremely unprofessional and the worst law firms with the most hostile lawyer! Please do not take help from this law firm otherwise you will regret. Mr. Snir doesn't listen to his clients and does what he thinks is good for him only!

He did nothing on my case. He worked in the past and not the present. I had my child for the day and he wanted to tell the lawyer where he wanted to be before he ran away and gonen didn't do anything or listen to the child but give him candy and told to leave. It got to the point t I worked the case and se t him the work a d he refused to do anything. He then stated not to call or message him and my advocate is the only person he will deal with. It wasted 2 1/2 years of my case. He refused to return the files which he still has to this day. He did nothing to help out with the parental alienation. If that he helped my ex out more then helping me out. I wouldn't even request this lawyer to anyone. His tactics are not the greatest. He doesn't listen to his clients, he never returns calls, emails or text message in a timely matter.

The worst lawyer in Ottawa , delayed tactics , left me hanging for almost 2 months b4 he did anything , I had 50/50 of my child now my ex has full custody , he absolutely ruined my life. This should have been an easy court hearing on basic needs and ended up with nothing. At all cost avoid this man. Extremely rude and belligerent,, again this man ruined my life , now I have to fight to get any time with my child ;(

Mr. Snir is very knowledgeable, straight forward, and fair. He also has a very strong common sense, something very rare these days. Mr. Snir gave me very good advices on all tough issues I was dealing with in regards to my Separation Agreement.
I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a family lawyer and wish him all the best in his career.

Mr. Snir has great knowledge about the Canadian legal system and gets things done very quickly. He genuinely cares for his client’s matter and is great at communicating everything. Mr.Snir has went above and beyond for me in a custody dispute i currently find myself in. He has a deep knowledge for family law and the court system. And has directed me accordingly. He has appeared for me with less then 24hours notice to a urgent motion in the oshawa region which was NOT what i hired him for. His expertise in law has given me peace of mind and temporary custody of my daughter. He is straight to the point and facts about the case. I highly recommend him. My case has been complicated and Mr. Snir has stuck with me and works endlessly to see the matters through.

As an actual client of Gonen I can give first hand experience. Other reviews seem to be split either super positive or super negative. Who knows which are actually clients but I'll give you my assessment. My first counsel took a year just to get access to my son. That was a long time to miss out on milestones and holidays and should have taken far less time to resolve. In the short period of time since I hired Gonen he has far outpaced the previous counsel and is actually completing emergency orders while the court isn't even in session. I wish I had met Gonen much sooner but now it feels like I have a pet tiger helping me and I hope you enjoy the same feeling if you go with him. Not to mention he takes legal aid and worked more hours than he got paid for me that was a bonus. Others may not have hit it off but advice to the wise don't argue with your lawyer lol.

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS LAWYER, HE WILL ABANDON AND BETRAY YOU. Hired him last year to bring my divorce to conclusion. He initiated action a month after we first met, and the case conference was set for a later date. While he worked for 2 months after the conference to finalize the order, he decided to do nothing after that. There were many outstanding issues, but he either suggested that we defer taking action or was totally non-responsive. When I questioned him about the inaction 4 months later, he instantly sent me a nasty email and quit! Ratings: knowledge - average, communication & tenacity - terrible (not answering emails, not following up, quitting the client), quality - acceptable at best (disorganized, produces poor quality material). While his fee is relatively low, overall value is still zero since he not only charged me for the nothing he did for me lately, he also delayed and damaged my case.

I hired Mr. Snir after reading all of his reviews and recommendations given to me by others that had used him. I needed help with a complicated Family Law matter that involve Child protection and FRO issues. Mr. Snir was willing to take the case, and I'm sure glad he did. He went out of the way treating our family as if they were a family member, and made sure that everything was going to be ok. It's rare that justice is found in cases, specialy aginst the CAS, but Mr. Snir made sure everyone understood the facts and how the CAS act unreasonably. I would absolutely recommend Mr. Snir to anyone who is looking for a sharp skilled lawyer with the compassion of a friend. Thank you for everything.

he doesnt return calls. he is only interested in how he is going to get paid. he seemed to resent telling me what was happening because nothing was happening, literally, and when i told him i was frustrated, he told me i had an attitude.

Went in a mediation with this lawyer. He pretended to be a "good" mediator but most of the time he gave advantage to the other party. He has a very weird sense of humor and he did not do properly his homework. He did not act very professionally (he was always smiling to the other party). His knowledge seems to be very limited. Luckily there are better mediators in Ottawa. If you want to get decent results, you should avoid this lawyer.

I contacted Gonen after being recommended by a co-worker, the first meeting with Gonen went OK, even though I did not enjoy his sense humor and his lack of focus on the matter. After he started representing me I have noticed he does not do his homework, often blaming the other parties for everything he did wrong, I did not enjoy his lack of honesty and integrity, quite often he loses focus he forgets I am there to have issues resolved. He complicated what appear to be a simple case into nasty situation, where at the end I lost, I regret hiring him.
