In my case he was poor... he passed on my case , after my lawyer contracted legionnaire's decease .. Unbeknown to me his legal assistant had , already, at this time prepared a case against him (three other female clients) with sexual abuse. When I explained what he proposed to me she asked if I would "join" their claim. after several months of preparation he was elected to be on the board that deals with misconduct of lawyers.... SO.. that was that.. the paralegal left his employment, she was devastated.. could not tolerate his behavior.. I will never forget it because I lost everything because of his wet nosed "student" assistant. When the final summ was made, I ,nor my friend, could recognize the case... I won't disclose what occurred after that, on that day...but as I , somehow , made it to my car.. started it and the song "WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE" blared at me. Need I say more...I will only explain details of my experience with him in person.. this is a long time but I can't forget

Save your money and run. If you want ego, temper tantrums and lectures Russell Tretiak is your man. Took over a week to fire him as his email and phone stopped working mysteriously.

He is the worst family lawyer I have ever encountered in my entire life. It was truly a night-mare to deal with his firm. Although he is a QC and "prominent" lawyer, I found him to be totally incompetent and arrogant. In my second meeting with him although I was prepared to pay him his fees of $400 per hour, when I was not clear about some of the points, he became impatient and said he has no time to repeat himself, and if you don't trust me go somewhere else. My mistake was to continue working with him. During the first encounter with the opposing party, at the crucial time, when I needed him most, he introduced an inexperienced, most hesitant junior lawyer who could hardly defend me causing serious damage. After this horrible experience and losing a lot of money and time, I decided to look for another lawyer. After meeting 6 other lawyers, I found a great, young, most competent and dedicated lawyer. in lawyers bewildered world, she is a breath of fresh air. Thank you Lawyerratingz!
