I went to Jeff and RKTL a few years ago to help me fight my audit. Jeff was clear about what he could and couldn’t do for me. It took a while but the result I got was close to what he said would happen! He was upfront and honest and always explained things so I could understand. I am happy with the result!! I would recommend Jeff to anyone who needs to fight the CRA.

I called to speak to Jeff because of the reviews and the free 15-minute consult (I wasn't sure if I even needed a lawyer). First, I booked an appointment, only to be called 15 minutes before the appointment to tell me that the calendar wasn't up to date, and they were booking a few weeks down the road. The legal clerk asked me questions about my needs. She then consulted with Jeff and proceeded to call me back to let me know that because of my case, they would only be able to offer me a 30-minute consult at $100. So, their free consult felt a lot like clickbait. I contacted another tax lawyer who offered a free 30-minute consult. He spoke to me in less than 10 minutes and reassured me that I did not yet need a lawyer. I also emailed another lawyer who was commenting on the issue in the media. He communicated the same to me via email. I'd rather you just said upfront your rate was $100. Not impressed. Isn't trust key to working with a lawyer? Friendly legal clerk, though.

I contacted Jeff in reference to a personal income tax issue. I was late in filing and as I had been given a severance and my pension was transferred out, I was taxed in a higher bracket than usual. Jeff was very helpful and helped get my interest and penalties forgiven. I am so glad I contacted RKTaxlaw with my CRA issues. Thanks Jeff.
