This lawyer was appointed as an arbitrator in a very high-conflict divorce, and unfortunately, her involvement only intensified the conflict. Throughout the process, I experienced conduct that I found unprofessional and discourteous. The proceedings were drawn out, the costs were excessive, and it took almost a year for her to issue the arbitration award.
There are many capable and ethical family lawyers in this city, but based on my experience, I would not recommend her services. I also want to say that I’m sorry to anyone going through family issues and reading these reviews, I wish you strength and clarity in your journey.

Rhoda Dobler is exceptionally capable, thorough, thoughtful and downright courageous. She can sort through and effectively evaluate complex, and often highly contentious issues to understand the root causes while not allowing emotional posturing or empty claims of victimization to sway sound judgement. Issues sadly endemic to family law and my case no exception. Rhoda went the (significant) extra distance to understand my high conflict situation, then made challenging decisions in the best interests of the child involved. Furthermore, Rhoda then went to exceptional lengths to meticulously support and communicate those decisions. The most endearing aspect of Rhoda’s incredible integrity is her unwavering professionalism, dignity, integrity and unassailable objectivity while receiving a constant barrage of personal harassment and threats. I think most others, if not all, would have resigned in the face of this difficult situation.

I've never left a negative review my entire life, because I do choose to see the best in people... however, not to the detriment of young children.
Rhoda Dobler caused my 4-year old special needs son significant trauma and regression at his young age, by aiding my highly abusive ex spouse and acting in an unprecedented manner with absolutely no regard for emotional stability, historical care, or case law. Rhoda followed a completely biased one-sided approach and thereby further fuelled on an increase of abusive behaviour towards my single parent household. She went on further to perpetuate further financial abuse and coercive control towards solely myself.
Inept and unjust does not even begin to explain her actions as a 'legal professional'. Something tells me that she doesn't seem to be all there mentally either. Comes across as a bit 'looney' so to speak. Avoid at all costs.

Complete nose picker. Not a litigator. Would not answer direct questions. Extremely, extremely poor advice. Absolutely dupped by opposing counsel.

My experience with Rhoda was frustrating. In a high conflict situation, when dealing with a noncooperative and narcissistic partner, she was more into kumbaya and hand holding, which led nowhere. Her method is workable with cooperative parties, but she doesn't seem to know where aggression and tenacity is needed. I think she rides on the name of the firm. Was not at all productive for me, ended up going elsewhere.

Dobler is a nothing-to-write-home about family lawyer and a so-so mediator. Her hype is just the hype of the firm name, nothing more. I would have given her a higher rating for communication, value, and work quality if she didn't have a tacky incompetent secretary, Tarla, who has no tact and is rude to clients...my friend had the same experience. OK, you can't buy personality but Tarla honey, you can buy a dictionary and at least try to learn how to spell. The mistakes on my legal documents were easy enough for an 5 year old to spot! But I have to think that Dobler knows who she has "working" (I say that lightly) for her and doesn't care about her clients either. Run from this one!
