William Doodnauth has been our lawyer in the last two years dealing with my underage son who is involved with several mischief charges and criminal charges. Mr. Doodnauth is very diligent, paying attention to details, and gets the matters resolved on a timely manner. Mr. Doodnauth is very professional on his work and he is fair on the legal fees. Since my son was under the care of the Children's Aid Society(CAS), Mr. Doodnauth help us in dealing with the issues with the CAS. Worst lawyer I have had in my life. Trust me if you are using Legal Aid he treat you like your nothing. He don't do anything or work for you never gets back on emails. Plus not sure how this man became a lawyer. Please anyone take my advise don't waste your money or time on this guy. HE A VERY COLD MAN

He had me sign over full custody of my 5 children to my husband who is abusive. He told me I couldn't win this as they wanted to be with their dad and LAO wouldn't pay to fight against the kids. 1 year later I learned that he had buried the reason as section 37, ... but it said that I was not mentally competent to keep them. When I learned this and confronted him he quit saying I was risking losing my rights for capacity and review. I complained to LAO, no help. If he felt this way he never should have let me sign any papers without having someone else with me. I owe over 8000.00 to LAO for his horrific work against me with CAS. To anyone who is using LAO and/or is involved with CAS stay away from this lawyer! My son who is now homeless because his father is so abusive wont have anything to do with me as he has been told by OCL, CAS, and father that I am unfit. Look up story on CityTV News March 9 2017. Mr Doodnauth you ruined the future lives of all my children and I.

I hired William for my divorce case. Even though he might be an OK lawyer he loves to bill heavily. I was shocked that he billed for every little thing including one sentence emails for almost $50 each. This law firm is a rip off. I am happy that I have a new lawyer now. Thank you for wasting my money.

I used William for my separation process which was more complicated than most. I was very satisfied with his work and really appreciated that he was easy to reach and would always return calls promptly, even if it was after hours. I never felt that he was just in it for the billable hours, he seemed to genuinely want to have my situation resolved with the best possible outcome for me. I would certainly recommend him to friends.

After being criminally charged I went to see William. It was a very frightening time for me and my family. After speaking with William it really gave be a better perspective on the situation and certainly helped me relax through such a difficult time. William answered all of my questions in a very efficient and professional manner. This really helped me to relax and stay calm during such an anxious time. I would strongly recommend William for all legal matters he was very professional and helpful. Trying to understand the law is a complicated matter but William helped me understand the process in language that I could understand. Upon researching William, I noticed that he has many positive reviews, and that's what I needed. Someone who was straight to the point, but was also highly knowledgable and clever with his work. I was very impressed with Mr. Doodnauth from our first phone conversation. He was helpful, professional and set my mind at ease right away. I had phoned around to a few other firms but it was his personal touch that made him stand out and why I selected him to represent me. In subsequent interactions he clearly explained my options to me, the implications of different choices and what the possible outcomes might be. He was also always very prompt with his replies to any inquiries. Most importantly, he was able to obtain the most favourable outcome in may case and get my charges withdrawn. I hope I never need the services of a criminal lawyer again but if I do, I would certainly use Mr. Doodnauth again.

Mr. Doodnauth is a great lawyer. Never had experience dealing with a criminal charge before but I know that I was very fortunate to have him guide me through the whole process. He is very understanding and easy to talk to and was quick to respond to any questions I had when I called his office. I hired William on a criminal matter. Most people told me that the charge I was facing wasn't a big deal but I was still worried about the impact it could have on my career. William immediately put my mind at ease with his approach. He explained the process, laid out the options and did not make any false promises but was confident on achieving a favourable outcome for me. William was very professional, showed up to court early, got in to speak to the prosecutor first thing and came back with a plan to have the charges withdrawn. He laid out all my options. I did the upfront tasks that were asked of me and my charge was withdrawn on the third appearance. William was very easy to work with, he was always available to speak to me and made sure I was involved in the entire process from beginning to end. Hopefully I will never need his services again but if I do I would not hesitate to use him again. Highly recommended.

I was going through a very tough time getting approved for disability. I had tried and failed to gain approval by following the proper procedures and supplying the government with a mountain of medical evidence. At the end of my rope after 3 years, I ended up contacting Mr Doodnauth for help. He immediately understood my predicament and represented me for the next two years, until I finally won. William helped me with a CAS matter I was involved in. He was always positive and pleasant and he guided me even when I was angry and I felt unfairly treated by my worker. He focused me on working on things to get my kids back and I did. He also calmed tense meetings with my worker and other parties and reminded me that it was child focused and not about me. Doodnauth seemed more interested in my legal aid certificate number and became very uninterested or engaged after he had it. I needed a legal referral for a CAMH assessment for my family court case, he refused, it was just a letter. Then he insisted I sign a Statement of Agreed Facts ('SAF') that had 's 37(2)(l)' hidden in it and out of context, never pointed it out or explained it. 9 months later, the CAS /CPS claimed I had no custody claim to my 5 kids because of the s 37(2)(l) in the SAF. Doom, they are all gone!! There was even a court decision against the CAS in 2007 for this kind of stunt, an advocate pointed it out to me just now. This means Doodnauth had to know he was killing my case. OMG, this guy is cruel!!

William was referred to me by my previous lawyer. I came to him in the middle of a lengthy matrimonial situation. I dropped off 12 volumes to his office. There had been several orders made and not in my favour. My ex wife continued to bring motions and William responded to all of them. He was successful and got costs on every one. He then brought a motion for increase access and won. I could not believe it! William did not want to listen to my complaining about why things were unfair he simply wanted me to provide him the information that he needed to assist me. I respect him for that even though he was abrupt at times. He made sure I was focused on the issues and separated my feelings from the case. I am happily enjoying my parenting time. I recall two of the judges saying "you have good counsel". I agree.

This lawyer gave a good speech how he is a "Trial Lawyer", but in 2 family court hearings, he got my facts wrong, failed to serve my financial statement on time. So I fired him, it took 4 weeks to get my file box back and I found he mixed other people's files in with mine. It took 2 months to get a statement of account and magically ALL of my $5,000 disappeared. He was mad that I fired him and he's mad that he had to do any work. Worst lawyer I ever saw! Now I find out he's been on a Bad Lawyer List of FB for the last year!
