I would recommend Annie for anyone who wants a lawyer to help them in a separation. I had a lengthy court (litigation) process where my ex kept delaying and causing problems and playing tricks. My lawyer was steady throughout and in the end I got what we discussed at the beginning. I had a wonderful experience with Annie. She’s an incredible lawyer and she really stood up for me when I couldn’t stand up for myself. I just couldn’t have gone through my divorce without her. I don’t know who had a bad experience with her but I just don’t buy it… I’ll bet the bad reviews are from bitter exes of her clients. Anyway, thank you Annie and team.

I had a terrible experience with Annie. Every aspect of my interactions with her were unpleasant. I spent a huge amount of time re-explaining my issues with her over and over again which only benefited her (didn't seem to take notes or refer to the numerous emails I had sent) and the firms' bank account. While she was away on vacation she outsourced some work to a legal aid which ended up costing even more because she needed to redo the work herself. She lacked tact, experience, reason, empathy, knowledge and any other skill that might make for a well rounded family law lawyer. The only thing i can say about her that might be concieved as positive is that she is stubborn and bullheaded. I later learned that her reputation amongst her peers is quite poor as well. Stay away at all costs.

Annie is completely out to lunch on most legal issues and her lack of ethics is staggering. She shows a complete inability to understand the value in an amicable divorce and her general demeanour was hard to take at times. If you want to have a positive experience and actually get value for your money - look elsewhere for competence.

Divorces do not need the divison that this lawyer brings to the table. If you have had an amicable separation and use this lawyer you will lose any sense of trust or good faith bargaining, your relationship with your ex will be eroded all for the glory of the almighty dollar. She lacks a breadth and depth of life experiences and cannot see the more intricate patterning of divorce that can leave the family unit more intact and less brutally separated. If only there was a way to fast track this young lady into later years when she may have had more experiences,different values and understanding of human relationships, a less aggressive insensitive approach to lives. Divorces happen, but need not involve the black and white views she presents. Her services come with an added intangible cost of the erosion of what is left of the family unit. definitely not worth it. Find another lawyer who can help to separate respectfully.

Working with Annie was great. She is not always so friendly but her advice it was good for me and I did what she say and it work out for my favor. Recommend it highly.

What Annie lacks in legal knowledge and tact, she made up for using bully tactics. I highly suggest looking elsewhere for your legal needs....particularly when kids are involved.

I met her for first consultation and I had to pay $150 plus tax .No issue there as this firm is not cheap!! I did not click with her at all. She did not shake hand with me and she did not smile once even!I think lawyer needs to be friendly and respectful. On top of that, she wanted to charge me upfront $2500! I took my service somewhere else and paid $600!All the work was done!

I had a good experience with Annie. She helped me to deal with my ex's very aggresive lawyer who don't always tell the truth. Annie was always prepare and was never scare of fight. Other lawyer did try to make me scare by threats but Annie always handle it and judge agree with us always. My only issue is she will charge you for reading and respond to emails but did good job and office was very kind people.

I had the pleasure to be the opposing client of Ms Yektaeian's client. I am very lucky my ex hired Ms Y. Ms Y I must congratulate you on your tenacity and ability to intimidate, utilizing CAS resources and recommending a father have 12h every 2 weeks of access with his child (I ended up with a 50-50 parenting plan), and having it come to light that in fact CAS falsely accused the father in their investigation as the police actually reported to CAS on behalf of Dad. Ms Y also suggested a 'tenuous relationship with reality' on my part when I reported her client's attempted kidnap of my child, only to have her client actually do it two months later. When confronted (with evidence) about her client's foreign accounts, Ms Y suggested that disclosure of foreign accounts was 'never asked for'. Even in mediation the mediators and articling clerk recognized 'she didn't understand the math'. In the end, my separation decision wouldn't be so favourable had it not been for Ms Y representing my ex!

Annie was prepared, thoughtful and took my case seriously. The opposing lawyer was difficult, confrontational and in some cases lied which she managed in stride and in some cases, used to my advantage. I felt she was well prepared each time I met with her or we were in court. She had read all the materials I provided her and was able to refer back to them easily when presented with contradictory information from the opposing counsel. The staff that supported her were helpful and professional.

My divorce was not easy. I had lived with an abusive man for more than 10 years and I knew it had to end. Annie took the time to really get to know me, what I wanted and (above all) understood my fragile state. She recommended resources that I needed and the firm even offered me a free consult with a therapist to work on myself. Nobody thinks that things like this can happen to them, but leaving my marriage and that man was the best thing for me. Highly recommend!

Gave good advice. Answered fairly quickly, was willing to negotiate back and forth with opposing council for as long as needed, and was affordable. I would recommend and use again.
