Of all the people involved in my closing - HUD, the lender, my broker and my attorney - it was my attorney that was the most difficult to deal with. I should have realized it when he was hostile on the phone when I was making my first appointment. He was so difficult, he finally agreed to have his partner work with me. Then, a day or two before the closing, his partner had a death in the family, and Fahey was forced to step in. At the closing, when I had questions about documents I was supposed to sign, he complained that I was asking too many questions. I finally had to yell at him and tell him how he'd been impossible from the beginning. He seemed to relent at that point and didn't give me that much trouble. I would never go back to him. I consider him to be completely unprofessional.
