My first lawyer and my worst lawyer. My case concerned custody of my child and was, obviously, extremely important to me. It was a time of great stress for me and I was turning to this legal-aid appointed lawyer for help. She only made my life more stressful. During our initial meeting she was getting calls and just kept picking up the phone and hanging up on the people without even letting them leave a message. I guess I should've realized then that she was useless. She expected me to go to the Law Courts to drop off documents ( I didn't even know where that was at the time); days later, she hung up on me during a call for no reason, etc. She just cares about money. Sadly, since she is a partner at the firm she works at now, I think that tells you a lot about their entire operation, too. It's unfortunate that terrible people like her are able to make big bucks while screwing over people in dire need. Steer well clear of this horrible lawyer/person.

Extremely money driven. You will get billed for every little thing. There are far better lawyers in the city.

Used through legal aid bc i couldnt afford on other terms while trying to support myself and my 1 yr old child. Zero compassion. She sent me a bill for $5000 bc I didnt "declare" my ring that was a gift. I did not know i had to. She then stopped "helping" me bc i couldnt pay that for obvious reasons. I called the law office as well as legal aid & they informed me i did not have to pay anything. Karma is a b*tch and maybe she'll get hers one day when she needs help and someone screws her around. Devils work.

Martha is helping me with the custody of my child. She is not the cheapest, but i have learned from experience that you get what you have paid for. She has been extremely attentive to my case. Martha was my fourth lawyer so far and she is the best by far. She is highly recommended.

Helped me in my custody battle with satisfactory results. I am from out of province and Martha took my instructions and negotiated great terms for access with my kids. A very effective lawyer.

One of the best lawyers out there. I used her for my divorce and she helped it settle quickly. Tough when she needs to be, conciliatory when that helps.

Martha, like others have said below, is only concerned about money. She drags out simple tasks just so that she can charge for more units. When we met with her for a consultation, she said everything seemed very simple and could be completed in about 8 weeks. It took almost two years for our case to be resolved. She is impossible to reach. You leave her messages and they go unreturned. No compassion at all. We had emailed her/called her SEVERAL times about simple things such as incorrect spelling of names or addresses only to receive the paperwork with everything still spelled incorrectly (as an example). I would never EVER retain this lawyer again.

Please disregard previous review of Martha Musuka. The comments made were not representative of the situtation and were unfair criticism of a very good lawyer. Martha, was only concerned for her client's well being in the parking lot as her client wished not to be approached at a sensitive time. Martha, I found has not only helped me with my case but also guided me to move forward with strength at most difficult times. She also gave me some home truths, which I am very grateful and respectful for. I would recommend her as a lawyer as she is very informative and a great support.

Money-hungry & intentionally blocks progress for her client. She demands that ALL communications between her client and opposing go through her so she can make more $. To stop positive & progressing conversation, she placed herself between her client and opposing client,& told her client to leave. Showed up late for court. 5 witnessed her intentionally ignore the opposing client/lawyer's very clear response (partial agreement) to her client's offer. Even when clarification was very simply & clearly repeated by opposition, she reiterated her intent to take false information (saying the response was full disagreement) to her client and the judge… again intentionally blocking progress. She makes no attempt to accomplish positive resolution, loves to hear herself talk, giving no-one else a fair chance to speak. She wastes time and money, does not understand negotiation, and has no compassion for her client or others involved (adults or children).

Martha sat with me for nearly 3 hours during our initial meeting. She took the time to explain my case to me and what my options were moving forward. My file was a mess from my last lawyer and I could not see a way out of it. Not even 3 months later and Martha was able to resolve my matter. I appreciate everything Martha did to ensure a positive outcome! I would recommend Martha to anyone in need of legal counsel!

Contacted this lawyer to discuss my case and she showed little compassion. She was more worried about obtaining a 5k retainer fee to review my file. Very slow to get back to your emails. Performance cant be measured but first impressions are not impressive.
