Jesse did the least amount he could for me and did not take my case seriously. Apparently, he deals with this all of the time, yet on the simplest terms he let me down. He was incredibly hard to get a hold of and I had to wait for months in between meetings. He responded to my ex's lawyer quicker than me and when I called him on that he fired me. He comes across as caring and smart but is lazy and inconsiderate of the mess he leaves folks like me in. In one case in the middle of court, he actually told me he needed to get this done so he could go Christmas shopping for his family. The only day he had in Nelson don't you know. I wish I would have picked my ex's lawyer who actually did his due diligence and understood his client and the case.

Jesse works with his neighbor & close lawyer friend Jenny Ghiliarducci together they prolong & ignite fires amongst their clients with lies, intimidation,harassment & file unnecessary papers to drag the process & make more money off the divorcing couples. I had to fight Jesse to be able to keep what I brought into the relationship & after almost 20yr marriage walked away with nothing due to Jesse purposely screwing me over in favor of my ex {Jenny's client},he actually told me while sitting in mediation which he never even explained to me how mediation works," I don't care about you I don't care about him i'm just here to save you some money". I lost what I gained in my past & any hope of a future due obtaining Jesse as my lawyer, I lost everything walked away with nothing even my dog which he told me wasn't important. Jesse has the cushioning of freemasonry & the McEwan judge he works with which enables him to get away with whatever he wants so he does not abide by rules or the law.

I am so impressed with Jesse. He is kind and considerate and really explains the system and options well. He is knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. I value his opinion and have recommended him to two other people who have had great success using him.

As the opposing counsel, Mr. Gelber employs sharp, adversarial tactics and, seemingly, has no concept of peaceful resolution of issues. Mr. Gelber callously disregards the code of conduct and the recommendations of Law Society in dealing with self-represented litigants with registered disability. He makes the litigation process extremely ineffective and needlessly confrontational by agitating the parties against each other, abusing court system by filing frivolous applications and requisitions with the sole purpose to harass and bully the opposing side. He also enjoys threatening and slandering the opposing party in and out of the courtroom by fabricating and voicing baseless assumptions on record and threatening the opposing party. Over all, Mr. Gelber showed himself to be unnecessarily damaging to the mental health of all the parties, financial standing of his own clients , the resolution of family issues and the possibility of any reconciliation between ex-spouses.

Great lawyer. He is very knowledgeable and very fast. He is very well spoken both in and out of court. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a family law or child custody lawyer.
