I came here out of curiosity, and after seeing the comment below I had to post because that is not my perception of John at all. I am very lucky I found John. My ex wife and I had made an agreement then she hired a lawyer and tried backing out of the agreement but John remembered every detail about our initial agreement and stayed on top of it and fought their tricks to settle for what was fair for me. In our four way meeting he spoke up often and fought for my interests and wasn't "docile" at all. Maybe if "docile" means a lack of the cocky attitude that most lawyers have.

John was friendly and seemed knowledgeable during our initial meeting, but became quickly docile during any interactions involving opposing counsel, seemingly too interested in the snacks at the table to speak more than once in a two hour meeting. I found myself having to do most of his job, and when asked for legal advice he couldn't seem to keep my case straight. It was a nightmare.

I could say a lot about Mr. Turner but I will start with how knowledgeable he is. He has clearly dealt with a lot of family and divorce cases because he got on my case and immediately took all the steps that my previous lawyer didnt. He knew my rights as a parent, was always available for consultation when I needed him, provided good advice that resulted in the Judge taking my side and got us costs rewarded as well. John has been practicing a long time so his rate is on the higher end but it was worth every penny for my ugly battle with my ex to go as smooth as possible. He was always very kind and courteous and respectful to me and even the other counsel. But when things got tough he killed it in court and put the other lawyer in her place. I have recommended him to a friend and she sent me a thank you bouquet because she was so happy to find such a compassionate, understanding lawyer.
