A bit of a slimy guy. He handled my case and seemed to be weak when fighting for me. He said one thing to my face, then did the opposite when we were in the court room. I would not recommend him.

Definitely the lawyer you want in your corner. Will help you through every step of the way and always quick to return phone calls and answer any questions. If you are looking for a lawyer who will leave no stone unturned, Scott Kurie is not the lawyer for you. Especially if you are being charged with a serious criminal offense, consider one of the more established law firms in Edmonton. My experience with Scott is mixed, I was happy with his work when I was charged with a minor criminal offence, so I hired him when I got charged with more serious offenses. Long story short, I fired him and hired another lawyer. Wish I did fired him sooner and saved the money I spent on retainer. I can not stress how important it is to do your research. The CANLII website is a good resource when you are looking at hiring a lawyer. Do your RESEARCH and you will save money, and maybe even jail time.

I hired this guy for criminal defence, I fired him after one year and went with a new lawyer. His knowledge was terrible, his communication was equally as bad. He did not guide me through the processes and now that I have a new lawyer I see how bad he actually is.

We hired Scott for some issues, he was amazing to us! Always available, and quick to reply to both emails and voicemail. We got the results we wanted, and were extremely happy with how our court dates went. I've recommend Scott to a few friends as well, and they all have been extremely happy with the results as well. Great guy to deal with and allows returns my emails when I hired him for a conviction and was facing some possible charges which the money I spent on Kurie was well worth it as he totally knew what he was doing in the court room and defended me with honor and dignity which gave me a clean record and my life back. I have hired Scott for 2 separate issues. I found that his attention to details and making true to his commitments are his key attributes. He is a straight shooter and looked out for my best interests at all times, it is rare to see in this industry a trust worthy lawyer and I am so glad our paths crossed.

Not sure about the other comments. I hired him for an impaired driving case and he was awesome. Destroyed the cop. Best money I ever spent. Took less than a day to return calls.

Stopped in and this guy was screaming at his staff. Gave me feeling that I was wasting my time until parents pulled out credit card. Now can;t find him. Never returns my calls.
