I hired Mike based on a friend's recommendation. He took on my case and signed a contract with me then passed me on to his new partner without asking me. When I spoke with him about this incident he told me his "best" client had a big case and he needed to give them his attention. He might be able to look over my case if he had time. Very unprofessional. His partner also did very little work on my case as he had out of state cases that needed his attention. I was treated like I was of no consequence as they had bigger fish to catch. I spoke with another lawyer about the issues and she said she did not like to work with Mike Van Tubergen as her experience with him lead her to conclude that his business practices were unethical. Do yourself a favor and hire someone who will work for your best interest as agreed and not treat you as if your status or bank account merits your level of commitment and diligence in case work. Disgusted is how I feel with their firm.
