I was sent to Strelshik for a mortgage transaction, part of which was the settlement of some outstanding debts. There was an issue with one of the payments. I wrote and called Strelshik asking for a copy of the payment documents from the trust file. He ignored my request. I had to file a claim with the Law Society after which he produced a copy of the invoice and the front of the cheque used for payment. This was insufficient. I needed to know who actually cashed the cheque. Again I tried to contact Strelshik and was again ignored. I went back to the law society and they finally extracted a copy of the back of the cheque and I was able to settle this matter.
This long unnecessary delay has had a negative impact on my credit rating. It is completely ridiculous!
