Terrible lawyer! Told me to fight for my kids because she came from a broken family. She recommended a child psychologist to get voice of the child report and go to court. Instead, the report was brutal, it listed my Ex as the ideal parent. She uses the law of precedent when she goes to court. However, I learnt afterwards that she is a “litigation nightmare” and can’t persuade anyone with her arguments. She spoke to a mutual friend (without my consent) making jokes about my case. So, I asked Catherine to temporarily stop communicating with the other lawyer because I cannot afford her hourly charge. She charged me for her assistant to pull out my file/refile every conversation and the cost of the specialist she recommended. So her new advice was to change lawyers and pick up my file immediately from her office. However, when I went to pick up my files I was told there is a charge $$$ to release them!!! Very unprofessional adding insult to injury!

Not sure what the negative reviews are about- likely people who are upset with the status of the law- because it cannot be for Catherine's service or knowledge, which are both top notch. Have sent multiple friends, neighbours and colleagues her way and all have glowing recommendations for her. She is in high demand for good reason. Would strongly recommend her for all of your family law needs.

Not experienced at all. When she negotiate with the other party's counsel, she will get screwed totally and you will loose big time, access, rights, assets and of course, money. Even though you spend lots of time preparing your documents to save money, she will bill you as if she has done the work for you. Get a male lawyer for double the price. It's worth it.

Don’t waste your time and money. She has no knowledge, lack of experience. Do yourself a favour, get someone with better knowledge, if you don’t want to loose everything you have.

GREAT PERSON AND LAWYER! I highly recommend this lawyer. As a fluently bilingual lawyer, she was able to explain legal concepts to me in french with ease and then argue my case in english in court. Truly incredible to witness! She can be sweet and kind when needed and a truck shark in the courtroom. Don't let her gorgeous imagine deceive you! I met this lawyer when I was at lowest place in my life. My ex-husband had just overnight left me with nothing he drained me physically and financially. When I met her I was down and had nowhere but downto go. See you surd me back then that she had my back and that we would make it through even though I tried to assure her it was going to be a hard fight. She has gone after the party in question and has made sure that I am coming out on top with this woman I would not have made it I've been through family law previously and this has been a much different experience I look at her as if she's one of my friends. The whole office her assistance the secretaries the whole the business I would not go anywhere ever again I would pick them over again and over again. It's been a long fight but we will and I are coming out on top. I highly recommend this lawyer, got the best outcome I believe possible for the best interest of my daughter. Responed to emails and phone calls within a few hours, 24 hours at most. I will be referring anyone who needs a family lawyer to her.
