I hired Mona Chan to help with a study permit. I took a UBC administrator advice to take an english course while waiting for my permit, which i regret listening to. Mona asked me to give her $3000 before i jump on the plane promising that she will write a letter to CIC and help me out. She almost begged me to give her the money, which i did, then i left the country. As soon as i got back home, I emailed her many time for 10 days with no reply. I had a letter of acceptance to University and i wanted to make it to class in September, which didn't happen. she emailed me repeating what she told me during our first consultation then ended the email with take care. I asked her many times for a copy of the letter and updates and she never heard back. I called many times, she always sounded as if she never did them. I never gotten any help, and never seen any money back. She is a true and pro thief. Shame on you. How do you sleep at night.

She is currently not a member of the BC Law Society and not supposed to practise law. Thank God for that.

I decided not to use a real estate agent because I wanted to save on the commission. Mona Chan helped me with my condo purchase. She provided me with a non-standard quality purchase agreement and research that saved me tens of thousands. Highly Recommended for real estate investors.

Do not use this lawyer, Mona Chan, by all means, unless you have plenty of time, money and patience. I really regretted using her. Her website review are screened to published. Her fee is more than $5000 to draft an offer to purchase agreement fot my condo purchase. After checking her account statements, I realised she billed me many questionable charges that do not apply to me or justified and more than 6 times telephone calls (at $350 an hour) than my mobile call log recorded. She refused to answer any of my querries and ignored my request to amend the statements after the completion of the purchase. I am now preparing to file a complaint against her for inappropriate charges, unjustified high fees and inaccurate accounting to the BC Law Society.
