Despite other's saying he was a stellar employee working for TTC,it's insurer & on Commission boards, Brian has a darker side. He withheld evidence from police in a fatality of a female, that occurred at Finch commuter parking lot about 2008; he interfered in human rights complaints & ordered TTC human rights officer's to change their reports in an effort to save himself from embarassment. He was warned by TTC HR not to hire a certain male lawyer & he did so anyway to spite HR & it's principle who he had a feud with. He caused 5 lawyers to walk out & leave bc he never reduced their file loads. Complaints from others was never taken into consideration. He terminated a long standing employee who fell under the grounds of the Code; he did so, to prevent his own termination after it an investigation found that he had lied to police & fabricated an occurrence report to police. In 2019, he fabricated a second report even though the employee was not employed.
