This lawyer was unknowledgeable of how to handle my divorce decree. She took advantage of my situation because my children were being abused. She charged me a 10,000 retainer she botched my entire case and I had to seek another attorney to fix the incorrect motions she entered and we had to start completely over costing me more money. She than took 6 months to give me a itemized bill which had incorrect fees and billable hours on days that she was on vacation and emailed me that she would not be in the office. I am now working with the Illinois ARDC to file a complaint for her misconduct. I beg you not to use this lawyer. She will take your money and leave you in a bigger mess.

After 20 years of marriage, no way to 100% support my child and I, ignorant about divorce law, she only secured 2 years of alimony. My ex was extremely combative so he was also to blame for Dragging on a divorce that should have been simple. She charged me approx $27,000 and in retrospect, she should have worked harder for me, not just to put more money in her pocket.

Earlier this year, a member of my family retained her and after asking about her bad ratings on this site, Renee told her to look for another lawyer. She also lost this family member's paperwork and charged excessively. Somehow, right after this happened about the ratings, she received two reviews with 5's. Really?? The person who had recommended Renee to the family member also retained her this spring, but has now informed us he has a new lawyer.....no surprise there. Do your homework on this one.

I used Renee in an extremely difficult and volatile divorce and child custody case. She was my third attorney in the case and completely turned the case around. After a long drawn out trial after years in court Renee was the one able to get the case moving forward and saw it through to a great outcome. She was very knowledgeable and professional and obviously had the respect of the other attorney as well as the judge. I don't believe another attorney would have worked to nearly as successful an outcome and the entire time with her I just new that she was 100% determined and committed to doing the best possible for me and my children. Because of Renee my life is finally back on track. I would highly recommend Renee Rempert to anyone needing legal assistance.

I feel Renee Rempert took advantage of me and grossly over-billed. Renee was my divorce attorney and even though there were no children, we didn't own any property and we had no money to fight over, she billed $3000 over her retainer and with no warning that she was doing so. $3000 may not seem like much but at the time it was a ton of money to me. I spoke with other attorneys afterward who said it should have only cost $500 all in.

I used Renee to help me through a very difficult situation when my first attorney was unable to handle my ex's attorney and all his nonsense. Renee not only was able to get my case settled for more than what I thought I would get, but she did so in a matter of weeks. She worked well with the other attorney and it was obvious that she had his respect and the respect of the judge. I wish I called her first. Fair, smart, aggressive, effective.

Ms. Rempert just completed my divorce and made a very emotional time easier to deal with. She handled herself professionally and referred me to others that were able to help me straighten out my "new" financial situation.
