I had an unpleasant experience working with Chris Mamo on my divorce with a young (<1) child. Chris rightfully identified early on that we might have a fight over parenting time. He proceeded to give me zero instructions about the importance of maintaining my status quo as primary caregiver. Chris never advised me of the existence of either the AFCC or Arizona Guidelines, which courts consult to determine parenting schedules. Chris never mentioned the option of a step-up plan, which is normal course with babies and toddlers. Chris oriented me toward immediate 50/50 time with an 11-month old - even though I'd be on parental leave for another 9 months. He is inclined to take the path of least resistance - not necessarily the path that is in the child's best interests. I switched firms and got the results I wanted.

I have worked with many lawyers in the past but Mr. Chris Mamo exceeds expectations when it comes to family representing your best interest. Not too long ago I contacted them for an urgent motion that my party was served with and not only did Mr. Mamo and his team responded to the motion immediately even though there was holidays and weekends involved but resolved the motion in our favor and continues to defend us successfully. I honestly do not think i have met a more diligent, honest and knowledgeable lawyer before when it comes to his field. He has a whole team behind him who are beyond amazing. I retained Chris through a referral to act as my counsel in a child support dispute. I am so impressed with Chris and his team and the counsel he provided. He is very knowledgeable on family law. He is also extremely smart, strategic, practical and responsive. He has an incredible ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms and provide options and a proposed course of action. He is a strong advocate who can very capably tackle issues head on yet also one who can reach compromise if and when appropriate. That is a delicate balance that he manages quite well. What Mr. Mamo lacks in stature, he tries to make up for in verbosity, but comes up short. He is brash, abrasive, confrontational, arrogant and talks over everyone else. He has no regard for the rules or the law. If a factum is stricty limited to 8 pages and not to include texts or emails, his arrives in court 64 pages, 30 of them texts and emails. He is willing to lie with no regard for the implications of and does so even when they are such easily disproven lies. His accidentally leaked internal correspondence told H to "keep attacking her (W) on the children). Certainly not conducive to co-parenting in good faith or the spirit in which negotiations should take place. Fortunately the courts seem to hive tired of his circus act and bullying and the results are reflecting it.

Chris is extremely responsive and is very passionate about getting you to the finish line. What I like most about Chris is I feel he doesn't focus on fees but more so about getting to an agreement. His no nonsense approach helps cut through the elevated emotional feelings and this helps get the job done. I highly recommend Chris and his support team at the firm.

Chris is not a good lawyer. Only cares about his billing. Comes unprepared, his work is likely done by a junior at his firm and he likes to swing low and insult rather than find common ground and seek compromise. Most divorces could be settled without a lawyer. Chris makes sure that his involvement delays, drags on and causes unnecessary frustration for all parties. Waste of time and effort going with this guy.

Chris is all talk and no action; he promises it all, delivers nothing; he constantly tells you how honest and transparent he is, and then he accidentally sent an email that was for his associate to me, which really showed his true colours. He tried to smooth it over, only to sound like the the narcissist I am trying to divorce! He basically accepted my file, passed it on to a junior, and then charged me her rate and his. He also insulted my previous lawyers work, but didn’t come up with anything of his own. He cannot separate his personal biases from your case as well. Save your money, do not go to him, especially if you are a woman leaving an abusive relationship with kids involved. I’ve lost count of the number of times he told me “you chose to have a child with this man”

Mr Mami was my first lawyer. Just racked up the bill, no very knowledgeable. In comparing with my current lawyer, Mr Mami will listen, reassure, etc but just wants to settle, settle, settle, nevermind if you are been screwed. In reviewing my agreement, everybody told me I got very bad advice, and he charged me way more than my current lawyer although his hourly rate was cheaper...

Wow where do I start! Horrible! Very nice guy but is no help in the court room or with paper work. This guy had tried to tell me he was keeping his cost down but that was a joke! as he would request meaningless evening phone calls while driving to other commitments and would follow up on the same issues several times just to rack up the bill! He also made me write up all my documents which took me hours and no back ground in Law. Then this guy would add a few words in to make it look like his work! Such a joker! He will talk a big game and provide no results! I am still waiting on promised documents owed to me which I am being told to write myself which is also a joke as I can not read his hand writing on the back of a photocopy court order and paid for a service. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND YOUR MONEY! SCAMMER!!!! AT THE END OF THE DAY THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS A SCAM! BUT HE TAKES THE CAKE!

Taking that first step to call and meet with a family lawyer when you're going through a separation and/or a divorce, is an extremely difficult and anxiety-filled thing. But from the first few words with Chris, I know that he would be a reassuring and extremely resourceful lawyer. He listened to all my concerns, and answered honestly. He's a straight shooter, that's for sure! But when you are going through such an intensely difficult time emotionally, having someone bring you back down to the ground, to reality, and the important issues at hand, is a true blessing. Chris was that presence for me. He never gave me false hopes, but helped me see clearly the things that were important to me and my children. He was an invaluable help during the most difficult period of my life to date and I will always be grateful that he was my lawyer. I highly recommend him.

Chris Mamo is a must call. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to separation and divorce law. Chris is a straight shooter, and is up front about costs and the situation at hand. Chris will not give you false hope, he's very intelligent when it comes to the law and understands how to use that to better his client. Chris is very passionate about his position as a lawyer and treats his clients with the upmost respect and attention. Chris was recommended to me by my daughter's friend who had a most successful professional experience. I valued her opinion and having been divorced previously knew my way around the ropes. I'd had a high powered expensive lawyer represent me previously but could not afford such at at age 75. I shopped extensively having other positive referrals. I met Chris and very confidently settled on him as my choice. Chris is young and extremely reasonable as costs can be insane in a divorce. He is backed up by a strong boutique firm specializing in divorce who when required were available to him at no higher rate than his own base rate. Chris is smart, experienced, hard working and fast. He constantly told me when I would be wasting his time and my money. He was strong yet gentle & never intimidated by the bullying & threatening attacks of the highly qualified expensive opposing lawyer. He repeatedly assured me I was OK. He showed me options & produced excellent results. Chris is a 5 Star gem!
