She was my ex-husband's lawyer in our child custody case. My lawyer mentioned at our hearing that my ex-husband had been found guilty for assaulting my mother. Mrs Belisle replied that my mother's testimony was not to be trusted, since she was a Holocaust survivor who had avoided being deported to Auschwitz by using a false ID, and that fact showed that she disrespected the authorities and wouldn't hesitate to lie to them.(!) (I am not making this up!)

She had not mentioned her rate before We met, In fact, our tone in our conversation on the phone was evident that we had a meeting to see if we could work together, then, we talked about the payment. In the meeting, I tried to hurry because I did not want to use much of her time. She sat there relaxed and talked to me like a good friend or family chit chat. Then, I followed her rhythm. She asked many details. I was so thankful at that moment that she was so willing to investigate as many things and details as possible, big or small. I thought I was lucky to meet her, a very responsible and detail oriented lawyer. After three hours, she asked me to pay her 3*250=750$. I was shocked and mentioned this was not what we had expected. Her face was now tough, insisting I needed to pay her. I had to go out to find a bank to withdraw 750 for her. then,I still asked her to represent me since she almost knew everything. She denied without a word, but with a strange smile and a shoulder gesture.
