I hired him in November 2019. He never did a proper document production the entire time he was my attorney. He discussed settlement with my husband's attorney knowing he was not my attorney anymore and he never told me about it until I hired new counsel. Now he is GREAT. Lance Simon, Esq. In my case, Doug was able to change a seemingly impossible situation. I called Mr. Barics office and he spent a lot of time listening to me and gave me a lot of advice over the phone at no charge. I wanted to hire him right there on the spot. I came in for an office a consultation which was a lot cheaper than other lawyers I spoke to. All my questions were answered. I hired Mr. Barics and I was able to reach an agreement with my ex husband without going to court.

Mr. Barics handled my divorce case after my first lawyer screwed up and left me in a bad jam. I was going to jail because my first lawyer was asleep at the wheel and I got hit with a support order that made me pay more than I made. Mr. Barics kept me out of jail and got the support order dismissed. He got me a great outcome halfway through trial because he fought hard and earned the respect of my wife’s attorney. I will forever be grateful to Mr. Barics. His fees were reasonable and fair.

PLEASE STAY AWAY!! My ex and I went through Doug for an uncontested divorce. He took the full retainer and failed to provide any service. For four years we had to chase him down with emails and voicemails and he would be absolutely unresponsive. He would not provide any guidance or explanation of the process along the way. Whenever we asked for the stage we were at we got ambiguous replies. He refused to return the retainer and left us hanging. I would strongly urge everyone to save their money and stay away from him.

About all I can say is he showed up and other than attempt to continue the case and add $ to his bill, he had nothing to contribute. I got no value by using his service and could have saved both time and money by avoiding representation which is what he should have told me up front if all he was going to do is show up.

Doug’s a nice guy with no ego. He worked on my case like no other lawyer would. He met with me on weekends and worked on my case late at night. Whenever I had a question, he was able to answer it.

I used this attorney for my divorce after reading how well he markets himself online. As soon as the retainer was paid, he hid from me. It was like he dropped off the face of the Earth and there was absolutely no reaching the guy. He made the entire process far worse.

He did a great job for me at a fraction of the cost of what other lawyers quoted me. He even met with me on a Sunday morning during an emergency to file papers in court on Monday. When the trial started, the other side caved and gave me exactly what I wanted. THANK YOU!!!!

Douglas Barics is a terrible lawyer. he really only cares to ripp you off. Doesn't deliver. Never on time. Will hide from you after the retainer is paid. I called and emailed him 100's of times and he never responded. he also lied and made up a lot of unnecessary excuses. A Scheister for sure. made my divorce process a living nightmare. I ended up fighting with mr. barics more than my ex-husband. the whole process with mr barics was a complete nightmare!

I retained Mr. Barics for my divorce. He worked with me after my spouse paid her lawyer and then restrained all our money. He got me out of a bad situation and really diffused things. He found a lot of inconsistencies in my wife's papers, and showed the judge that she made a lot of things up. I would recommend him to anybody in a divorce.
