I like Alex, he's a nice enough person, calm, soft spoken, but when it comes to finding a lawyer that will fight for his clients, Alex may not be the one you need. He negotiated a settlement for me, that cost me a fortune rather than go to trial which he talked me out of doing. It turns out that the settlement cost me more than it would've cost me to go to trial, and at least I would've gotten my property back from my ex, who has refused to return any of it. He took days, sometimes weeks to respond to emails, and regularly only let me know a few days in advance that I had 60 pages of affidavits to respond to, even though they had been sitting on his desk for weeks. He routinely adjourned hearings which cost me $1,000 each time, and lost the really big case, which lost me visitation with my children. Then he quietly left the law office that he was at without informing me, and my case was then handed to another lawyer at the same office without my consent or approval. Very disappointing.

I would highly recommend this lawyer. He is very personable and easy to talk to. He was very efficient in working through my paperwork. I have had other lawyers who kept me waiting for months to get what I needed but Alex was very timely and I didn’t have to wait at all. He had excellent knowledge of what legal steps were required and he was able to advise me as to the risks that I might be undertaking.

Stay Away from this lawyer, my settlement was ridiculous and he has little to no compassion for his clients. Unless you need a lawyer to just sign off on things already agreed upon, keep moving...he's horrible.

Did a great job with my parents difficult visa application. I was able to bring them to Canada form the Philippines with no issues. I can't thank this lawyer enough. God bless him!

This laywer I'll never ever use again. My husband and I had him and he did nothing for us and we had to pay a lot of money.

In our opinion, Alex Deacon is a complete waste of money. His lack of knowledge & his unwillingness to communicate with his clients speaks volumes of his lack of professional integrity. He stammers when he addresses the judge, is very disorganised & doesn't seem to want to fight very hard on behalf of his clients wishes. There are a lot of better lawyers out there. Do your research, but whatever you do-don't hire this man. He will gladly take your money & bill you with costs that were never pre-discussed upon. He is thee worst lawyer that you could possibly get for your money. We were very disgusted with the way that he handled our case & will definitely not recommend him to anyone else.
