We used this lawyer for a real estate sale. The legal assistant was rude, arrogant and dismissive. They made several mistakes on our file, and charged us nearly twice what was quoted, which I found dishonest.

Recent buyers of my elderly Mother's condo used Mullin DeMeo for conveyancing. John Mullin also did the conveyancing for the 2012 sale of our rural property. In reviewing the final conveyancing documents Mullin sent to my Mother's lawyer, there are odd references to Mullin declaring no conflict of interest "To the extent that the vendor (my Mother) is or was a client..." She was never a 'client' but simply named as a beneficiary of our previous sale. She had no legal connection to our rural property. They made mistakes on basic details, especially overcharging on miscalculated property tax estimates. They were patronizing & arrogant when we complained. They seemed to think it was an honest mistake & should simply be forgiven (in their favour); like it was no big deal so they may as well just 'keep the change'. Well they've done the exact same thing again; over-charging my Mother for miscalculated property tax of over $200! This will take about 3 wks of my time to deal with - AGAIN!!

I contracted the lawyer to complete a home buying deal. But the lawyer clearly sided with my mortgage bank rather than taking my interest as topmost priority simply because my mortgage bank agrees to pay the legal fee. Some mortgage terms are obviously at my disadvantage but the lawyer didn't raise the alert. Instead, he did his best to cover it and entice me to sign. Fortunately I caught it myself in the last minute. There are some other sloppiness I found during the transaction. Won't trust the lawyer again.
