Hired her to do a separation/ divorce. Took a $5000 retainer did nothing and when I got a court case after 10 days a week before my court date dropped me as a client saying she is busy that day when I told her I couldn’t pay the $5000. Her hourly rate is almost $700. I asked for a detailed bill and refused to send me one. She would never answer her phone or emails once she got my money. I would never recommend her

I screwed up and got a dui. A friend told me to contact Laura and im so glad i did. laura was able to get me a conditional sentence so i dont have a record wich means i can keep my job and keep supporting my family. 10/10 i would recommend.

Laura was my lawyer nyears ago for a criminal matter and she was awesome and knew her stuff and helped me avoid a long time in prison. I called her when I was going through my separation and needed help and once again wasnt disappointed at all. She helped make sure my ex didnt screw me over and that my rights as a dad were respected. When the year is up I will be having Laura help me with my divorce too so I dont get screwed in court. All the money spent is worth it.

Ms McCarthy was very nice and listened to my problems with my children’s father. She made great creative suggestions to help us come to an agreement to resolving our parenting time arrangements. McCarthy represented me for a criminal charge and the trial went great. She made the cops seem like they didn’t know what they were talking about or how to do their own job when they testified. It went so well the crown told the judge to just drop the charges instead of asking the judge to convict me. I will be recommending McCarthy to everyone I know

I was struggling to find a lawyer in my local area in Ontario and I found Laura through a legal consulting company. My wife of 11 years and I were separating and she told me that the Divorce Act is federal and I can retain her despite the fact that she lives in another province. Would never recommend this (don't know how but) lawyer! Very greedy lawyer! At first she was so nice and it turned out she already knew she wouldn't be able to handle the case but honesty is not something that we can expect from her. Anyway, she took the major retained fee and kept charging me money for doing nothing and kept delaying and extending the case matter until she took $5000+ from me. And at the end finally said nothing can be done now! I had to search another lawyer who helped me right away and showed me path that was fairly simple. Realized that this imbecile lady was just making money from me! Lame service.

she does not have any professionalism whatsoever, no compassion towards the clients and would only care about fees. Never would recommend this lawyer at all. waste of money and time. never felt even a little bit she had any concern for case or ever gave any worthy suggestion or any guidance during the meetings. no preparation was done at all or seemed willing enough to take any steps proactively! would never reply your emails unless it's regarding the fees and invoices. this so called lawyer would never take your matter seriously and would make you feel comfortable as to handling the case.In a nutshell, Invest your money and time where it would be worthy but not certainly with this lawyer.

If she shows up in court she is unprepared. Poor speaker. Unable to communicate clients wishes or think on her feet, Pretty much impossible to get in touch with. Week before trail could not get in touch with her at all and after waiting two years to go to court she just stopped taking calls or responding in any way. Just filled out complaint form with law society. Mailing it tonight. Probably do no good but got to try something.

this lawyer does not know what she is doing in a criminal court; the judge told her to try to learn procedure when she made inappropriate motions in my case; I had to drop her and hire a more experienced lawyer. still fighting to get my money back.
